It is with a grateful heart that we recognize our volunteers who serve our neighbors at the Oxcart Pantry on a regular basis. We are lucky to have a great group of folks that generously give of their time and care to ensure we have the extra hands we need to meet our goals each week. This is a mission we could never complete on our own. So we recently gathered to break bread together and thank them for all they contribute all year long. We also recognized the contributions of Georgia, our pantry case manager, who will be retiring by the year's end. Change is inevitable, it's growth. We recognize everything she does to make this place not merely functional, but each interaction special. Our thanks to you all!

A great big shout out to Girl Scout Troop 70170 for earning their Bronze Award for their project at the Oxcart Pantry!! The Bronze Award is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn.

The girls of the troop chose to give back to the community by completing a beautification project at the Community Gardens. The first of its kind...the girls created bright handcrafted murals and stepping stones to brighten up the garden area. What a difference it is making!! They also raised funds to purchase a rotating compost bin to help support soil enrichment and sustainable practices.

Gardening is a great way to meet some neighbors, grow your own vegetables and support our pantry. Though the season is coming to its end now, give us a call in the spring if you are interested in joining the Community Garden.

Thank you and congratulations on completing this wonderful project! You have made a positive difference in your community and lived out the Girl Scout Promise and Law. This is talent and care in action!! Photos provided by Troop 70170.

We had some special visitors the other day. State Rep Chris Glassburn came by with 4H student Kadynce (posted w permission) and her family. Kadynce raised chickens then showed them at the fair where Mr. Glassburn bid on them, won, and donated them to our pantry! Can't get fresher than that folks!! Thank you!!
