C.H. Robinson is acquiring RXO for about $5.8 billion, putting North America’s No. 1 and No. 3 truck brokers under one roof.

The price tag gets the headlines, but the more telling number is the $300 million a year in costs Robinson expects to cut, mostly by moving RXO’s freight onto its own technology. For mid-sized brokers, carriers and providers, that changes the entire calculation.

Our new post covers what sales, marketing and account teams can do now:
• Talk to shared customers before the deal closes
• Get specific about where you win, and prove it
• Use automation to give your people time back for relationships
• Communicate with your own teams before the rumor mill does

In this episode of TMSA’s On the Move, Jennifer Karpus-Romain welcomes Holly LaBoda, Founder and Chief Growth Officer of Formula L, back to the show for her third appearance. Holly shares what she’s seeing inside sales organizations today, why deals lose momentum, and how salespeople can re-engage buyers without defaulting to more follow-ups, discounts, or pressure.

The conversation also explores the role sales leaders play in creating, or unintentionally slowing, momentum, common sales problems that may actually be rooted in leadership or process, and some conventional sales advice Holly thinks it’s time to leave behind.

As both a speaker and sponsor of TMSA’s Sales Virtual Accelerator, Holly also shares why Formula L chose to invest in the program and what continues to keep her engaged in the TMSA community after years of involvement as a volunteer leader, board member, and speaker.

Sales says marketing doesn't understand the market. Marketing says sales doesn't follow up on leads. Sound familiar?

In transportation, misalignment rarely looks like a dramatic organizational problem, it looks like campaigns sales doesn't know how to use, sellers building their own decks from scratch, and "leads" with no real business need behind them.

In our latest article, Jennifer Karpus-Romain breaks down where teams most often get stuck and the practical work that helps, from building a shared customer profile to treating sales enablement as a repeatable process instead of a fire drill.

Learn why sales and marketing teams misalign in transportation companies and how role-based training and cross-functional collaboration can fix the disconnect.
