Dear Friends of Mending Hearts,

Tomorrow is the big day, and yes, we’ve seen the forecast. There’s a 100% chance of rain, but A Mile for Mental Health is still on!

Event Details:
Tomorrow, Sunday, October 11, 2026
10:00 AM – Noon
South Central Park, 7565 Avon Belden Rd, North Ridgeville, OH

Here’s how we’re handling the weather:

We have 2 covered pavilions where you can stay dry, mingle, and enjoy the festivities.
Bring an umbrella or poncho for the walk itself. Rain boots are encouraged, too!
Lots of raffle baskets are waiting for you. Stop by the pavilions to check them out and try your luck.
Four-legged friends are still welcome! Festive Halloween costumes (and doggy raincoats) are optional but highly encouraged.
A lot of work, love, and planning went into this event, and the people we walk for are worth far more than a little rain. Showing up in the weather is its own powerful reminder that no one has to face mental health struggles alone.

Mending Hearts for Mason contributed over $500 in supplies to our North Olmsted elementary school counselors, providing tools like weighted stuffed animals, shape-shifting boxes, kinetic sand, Life Savers, fidget toys, and bubble wands to help students regulate and feel supported. We were able to provide these supplies thanks to your continued support and generous donations. Thank you!
