Ediger who is running against Mike King in the North part of our county and more, is getting things fired up, and now has a fully dedicated official volunteer manager!!

"Yay! Our campaign now has an official volunteer manager. Say hello to Dianna!" - Ediger for Everyone (follow for progress!)

We really need people in office who support popular issues, instead of the other, like Medicaid Expansion, and a real solution to high property taxes.

Kansas needs candidates who will keep hospitals open with Medicaid Expansion. Having not expanded this for nearly free under current representation shows corruption. When asked about Medicaid and Health Insurance needing to be better Smith for 72 said: "I agree wholeheartedly. And I think there's a way to expand it. It's convincing voters across the spectrum that a re-allocation of the taxes they already pay is worth it. That removing the power the healthcare industry monsters have over our families is worth it. It's gonna be a tough uphill battle though."

He could use a follow at his page, Smith for 72 above, if you are curious about getting some new representation finally for Newton and Harvey.

Matt Smith is a real fighter running against Avery Anderson because Avery has consistantly voted against very popular Kansan issues (see below in comments)

Come out and get some Hot Dogs and good conversation. So many different groups here helping to get voters registered for real change.

We desperately need new representation for Avery Anderson KS House District 72 (Newton, etc) and Mike King / Trump yes man / KS House District 74. We need better regulations for our food and crops, and less tariffs so we can actually keep the stuff we buy cheaper.

We don’t have the representation we need right now to garner real change. We deserve better. ❤️

Wow look at our state - so many people are working together to fill vacancies across all 125 KS House districts! Prior we had half of them unfilled where the other side was running uncontested and would win.

Now the new totals are going from 55 vacancies down to 35 or lower as people file over the weekend for the Monday at noon deadline!

Candidates must file in Topeka where Lauren Martin can help cover filing fees!

And in Harvey we closed the gap with Smith for 72 and Michele Ediger who are giving the GOP a fight for district 72 and 74!!

If we work hard we CAN win!!

Spotted! TRUMP IS STEALING YOUR TAX DOLLARS over the new bridge in Harvey County on 135 and the Chisholm Trail outlet mall this AM!!

They are taking a stand about the current issues going on in DC with our taxes we all pay in. So much of our taxes are going towards corruption from a billionaire who is constantly in court battles 24/7. Where is the compassion for good will and morality when our tax dollars are being stolen for bad deeds?

Broad Misuse of Federal Appropriations of tax dollars

Halting of Funds by Trump that are against laws passed by Congress: The administration and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) are blocking and freezing over $410 billion in federal funds passed by Congress. This includes halts on clean energy projects, high-speed internet rollouts, and local public health funding.

Horrific cuts with DOGE made to: USAID, Department of Health and Human Services (ending a lot of child cancer research), Department of Education, EPA, NASA, NOAA, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the U.S. Postal Service - with almost zero outcomes in finding wasteful spending.

Where are our taxes going again if Trump is disobeying Congress?

Personal Business Enrichment: Government spending watchdogs have highlighted that hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars have routinely been funneled directly into Trump-owned properties by charging the Secret Service and federal staff exorbitant, above-market rates for lodging and services at venues like Mar-a-Lago and his many hotels.

Critics condemn Donald Trump for using taxpayer money to settle a $10 billion lawsuit regarding his leaked tax returns by creating a nearly $1.8 billion "anti-weaponization" fund.

Detractors, including former judges, characterize the settlement as a "fraud on the court" and a massive presidential slush fund designed to pay political allies.

The Settlement and Fund Controversy

The Taxpayer Payout: Trump settled a $10 billion lawsuit against the government for its failure to prevent the leak of his tax information by securing a nearly $1.77 billion government fund. (This court case has been re-opened as of this week and pending)

The Beneficiaries: The fund is designed to compensate allies who claim they were wrongfully targeted by politically motivated investigations, which critics argue essentially turns the Treasury into a personal cash machine.

Immunity Clauses: The settlement agreement also shielded Trump, his companies, and his family from future IRS audits and actions, a move critics call a breathtaking abuse of the legal and tax systems.

Judicial Pushback: Former judges and legal experts accused the administration of colluding to deceive the court. A federal judge temporarily blocked payouts from the fund and questioned its legality and jurisdiction.

Historical Tax Allegations

Tax Evasion and Fraud: Earlier investigations, such as a major New York Times exposé, heavily criticized Trump for a variety of dubious tax strategies he allegedly used to dodge hundreds of millions of dollars in federal estate and gift taxes over several decades.

Trump’s own taxes show Underpayment Discrepancies: Multiple disclosures—including leaked returns provided to ProPublica—revealed that Trump routinely paid no net federal income tax for many years through the use of aggressive write-offs, massive reported losses, and loopholes.

We have a candidate running for District 74!! Michele Ediger has officially filed to run! She helped organize the Harvey Co Resistance Lab and has done things to help organize protests, and actively works towards getting the issues out. ❤️

This district prior has someone elected from a party that has supported vouchers which remove funds for public schools, nixed healthcare or Medicaid expansion initiatives, and Kansas Reps in the Republican Party have all rubber stamped tariffs that have caused many issues with rural farmers, and costs businesses millions.

Michele Ediger is running to give voters a voice on the issues in district 74! We are so glad that SHE has stepped up to represent people in Harvey County.

Matt Smith, who is a Newtonian through and through, speaks at tonight’s meeting who is running against Avery Anderson. Matt is worried about the expensive housing crisis that drives up property taxes by private firms and costs for buyers. He also wants to begin to talk about the trades for students as well as regular education support.

We need someone to represent our area, and lately we feel like that isn’t happening.

Messaging for everyday Kansans:

Our government state/federal spends wildly.

Holding Topeka accountable.

Conceding that we need someone who can reach across the aisle.

Gun rights: we need safety classes, education, education.

Fiscal responsibility.

Holding adult predators accountable. Anyone and everyone no matter who.

Avery and Matt are opposite ends of the spectrum. One is a suit, one is tshirt and jeans like most Newtonians. Matt is in the trades, working class, he has character, and wants the best for Hv Co!!
