Today we celebrate Star Wars, a story about rebellion, unity, and the power of standing together against impossible odds. Sound familiar?
Behind the scenes, it took thousands of hardworking crew members to bring the galaxy to life. That includes drivers, location crews, logistics teams, and other union trades that mirror the work Teamsters do every day, moving critical equipment, coordinating massive operations, and making sure the job gets done right.
And while the films themselves weren’t shot in Florida, the Sunshine State has long been part of the Star Wars universe through attractions like Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World, where Teamster Character Actors and other labor unions continues to play a key role in keeping the magic running for millions of visitors each year.
From the Rebel Alliance to the Union Hall, the message is the same, strength comes from solidarity.
