As we mark 100 years of Black History Month, we honor the scholars, leaders, elders, and young change-makers who carry our stories forward. Founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson in 1926, this movement began as Negro History Week and grew into a global celebration of Black excellence, resilience, and contribution. May we continue to learn, teach, and uplift across generations. A legacy of truth, a future of hope.
