This 24-hour community giving event is your chance to support organizations making a real difference in Greater Miami — including the Police Athletic League of North Miami (PAL North Miami), a nonprofit **Developing Productive Leaders** in our city.

👮‍♂️🏀 Who We Are – Police Athletic League of North Miami
The Police Athletic League of North Miami was incorporated in 1997 by business and civic leaders, educators, police officers, and residents who saw a need for **safe, supervised after-school programs** specifically for **middle and high school youth** and for **positive interaction between police and young people**.

What started as a small group of teens volunteering at community events — the City’s winter parade, Fourth of July celebrations, and holiday food drives for the North Miami Foundation — has grown into a respected youth program that reaches hundreds of young people in our community.

Today, PAL North Miami** brings together police officers, educators, parents, and community leaders to provide programs for youth ages **8–18**, including:

* After-school **sports and athletics** like boxing and track & field
* Youth Development Council, Junior Police Cadets, and the Explorer Program
* A PAL Junior Police Academy and opportunities to compete in **regional and national PAL events
* Homework help in English, Reading, and Math

Through these programs, PAL North Miami promotes healthy physical and mental fitness, good sportsmanship, high moral standards, and strong civic values while building trust between youth and law enforcement.
