For several days, your Maumelle Fire crews have been battling brush fires in the Eagle Cove area under extreme heat, dry conditions, and relentless fire activity. Firefighters are working long shifts in heavy protective gear, and staying hydrated has become critical—some have even required IV fluids as they rotate through the fire zone.
With ongoing dry conditions, wind, and persistent hot spots, crews expect to remain on scene for several more days to ensure our city remains safe.
We have had several residents reach out wanting to help— here is how you can help:
ONLY the following items are requested:
-Bottled water
-Gatorade or other electrolyte drinks
-Beef or turkey jerky/meat sticks
-Protein bars
-Peanut butter crackers
-Granola bars
-Pretzels
All donations are to be dropped off at Maumelle City Hall, 550 Edgewood Drive during normal business hours, M-F 8AM-5PM.
Do NOT bring items to fire stations or the fire scene, as emergency operations must not be disrupted. Volunteers will ensure supplies reach firefighters in the field.
