James Michael Davis, age 71
July 7, 2025

James Michael Davis, 71, of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025.

Born on December 12, 1953, to the late Edward Lee and A. Lorraine (Cronin) Davis, Jim was a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1972. He dedicated many years of service to the Union Pacific Railroad as a skilled machinist and mechanic. His leadership and commitment to his fellow

workers led him to serve as General Chairman for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sharon Davis; his brother, Edward L. Davis, Jr.; and his nephew, Timothy Miller.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Rhonda Davis; his daughters, Felicia (Chad) Wilson, Lindsey Conaway, Janae (Justin) Blew, and Jamalin Davis (partner Matthew Ellis); his sons, Jacob and Tyler Davis; and his cherished grandchildren, Autumn McWilliams, Nadia, Amana, Jaxson, and Kingsley Blew. He is also survived by his sister, Sandy Pihlgren; his brother, William (Dee) Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Jim’s legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family will be remembered always.
