As most of you know, it has been about our worst year on the farm in a decade and a half. Neglect, apathy, and abuse left us with little to nothing to harvest and the subsequent loss of wholesale business to restaurants we worked for years to lock in.

Obviously none of that is acceptable. So we’re rebuilding for 2027.

Adam and Ellen have spent almost this entire year in rehab working to save and better their own lives. Now, Adam returns to the farm to help us pick up the pieces. You may remember him by his street name, which we’re all working to unlearn. Ellen will be an immense help with her experience for our cannin’ and puttin’ up department! We plan to dig a root cellar before winter.

So now when you visit the farm, you’ll be greeted by these two superstars. You’ll see them around The Van’s HQ and shelter as well. Trust me, they just LOVE a good bear hug and noogie from friends.

Bring on 2027.

Down. Never out.

So proud of these two. Please show them a little love.

Y'all showed up for THE VAN last week with an amazing collection of large men's shoes! SJCA will be collecting all sizes again this Saturday at the market so bring your new or gently used shoes and we will get them to the right feet! 🤣
We are also collecting at the Argenta Market on Thursday night 5-7 so you can drop and shop in two places!

SHOOOOOES for The Van in Argenta at the farmers market this evening and next Thursday evening thanks to all the St Joes crew (who it’s pages it will not let me rage for some reason)

👟 Shoe Drive Tonight & Next Thursday!👟
Stop by the farmers market from 5PM-7PM tonight or next to drop off new & gently used shoes. We’re helping The Van get restocked so they can continue providing for our community— Large men’s sizes are especially needed right now.

Bring a pair if you can & share the word!

UPDATE: Our friends and long time business buddies at The Garage Door Guy have generously donated the entirety of our fundraising goal for the refrigerated box truck that was donated by David's Burgers‼️ Repairs are now underway and it’ll be on the road soon.

And guess what….The Garage Door Guy doesn’t JUST do garage doors! They are also fantastic with gates and fencing (we’ve called on them for it all). Give them a shout if you need them at 501-412-2475. Hard working, expedient, professional, and clean work.

We are so grateful for so many local businesses in all industries who see the value in this work, and believe in caring for some of the most vulnerable Arkansans among us.

Thank y’all so much!
