We had a great meeting last night and heard concerns from residents and updates and reports from city officials. We will not meet for the month of July. Our next meeting will be August 3rd. Stay tuned for more details!

The City of North Little Rock’s proposed FY 2026-2030 Five Year Consolidated Plan (ConPlan) & FY 2026 Annual Action Plan for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) & Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) program funding is available for public review & comment from Sunday, May 24, 2026, to Monday, June 22, 2026. A Public Hearing will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, in the City Council Chambers of North Little Rock City Hall, 300 Main Street, North Little Rock, AR, in conjunction with the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m., when the Council will consider adoption of the plans. The plans are available for review at: www.nlr.ar.gov/communitydevelopment

The ConPlan & Annual Action Plan include goals & objectives for housing & community development, as well as the projected use of program funds. It also includes the City’s updated Citizen Participation Plan. The purpose of the Public Comment Period & the Public Hearing is to receive comments from North Little Rock residents on the strategies & priorities outlined in the Plans to address the needs of low & moderate income households & neighborhoods.

Citizens may also contact Bailey Noland at 501-340-5342 (dial 711 for Arkansas Relay). Comments must be received by June 22, 2026. Our longest resident, Heidi, is STILL waiting for her home… and honestly, we’re not sure why. 💔

We’ve posted her over and over again. We even made her a funny fake dating-profile-style bio to try to get her noticed. We’ve taken her to events. We treated her mange. We’ve watched her grow up in a kennel.

And somehow, she’s still here.

Right now, Heidi is being fostered at one of our local vet clinics while we install new kennels at the shelter, but we would absolutely love to schedule a meet-and-greet for anyone interested in her.

Her adoption fees are WAIVED.

Heidi is a great dog who deserves so much more than shelter life. She deserves quiet naps, a comfy couch, car rides, toys scattered across the floor, and people who love her. She deserves to know what life looks like outside of barking kennels and concrete floors.

Eight months is already far too long for any dog to wait.

Please help us find Heidi the forever home she has been patiently waiting for. Even if you can’t adopt, sharing her post could help the right person see her. ❤️

Sanitation will run 1 day delayed next week.

North Little Rock City Offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
