Our Kids, Our Community, Our Future Vote YES for the millage on February 14, 2012 Patrons will vote on the millage increase February 14, 2012.

The North Little Rock School Board of Education, at its monthly meeting Thursday, September 15, approved a financial plan to fund the district’s long-range strategic facilities plan. DLR Group and Taggart Foster Currence Gray completed the long-range strategic facilities plan after evaluating all existing facilities, projecting future space requirements, and determining the best utilization of spa

ce for the district. The $265.6 million long-range strategic facilities plan will be funded through three sources: district operational savings; state of Arkansas partnership (estimated at $66.6 million); and a millage increase. The plan restructures the district from 21 campuses to 13. DLR Group and Taggart Foster Currence Gray engaged the community through a series of more than 50 public meetings from September 2010 through January 2011. Designers met with more than 1,000 community members, students, teachers and staff to ensure the long-range strategic facilities plan meets the district’s educational goals and benefits every student.
