Arkansas League of Artists

Arkansas League of Artists The Arkansas League of Artists is an organization formed to promote fine arts in Arkansas. The League is education based.

The League is a growing membership of artists and art enthusiasts who gather to learn from one another by exploring new techniques, working in new mediums and sharing their collective knowledge. It strives to not only provide workshops that members may partake, but also awards scholarships to High School students entering Colleges and Universities, or the Arkansas Art Center Museum School. ansas League of Artists also has a Plein Aire program. The League meets the last Tuesday of each month, except for December, at 7:00 PM at the North Little Rock Community Center, at Willow and Pershing, across from the Patrick Hays Senior Citizen's Center. Each month, the meeting includes a demonstration by a League member or a visiting artist. If you are an artist, or an art ethusiast, we want to extend an invitation to you to come to our next monthly meeting.

Join us tomorrow evening at 6pm as we have a Q and A discussion as to best practices in the art industry such as best materials and where to attain them, preservation and framing, appropriate business licenses, insurance, etc, best publicity practices, and the different ways we can market our art such as regional shows, vendor markets, and gallery representation.

Our monthly ALA Meeting is this Tuesday the 28th. A reminder the new time is 6:00 (with the board meeting at 5:00).
We hope our past board members can be sure to come. We would like to honor them and thank them for their dedication and service to ALA.
We are very fortunate to have Jay Ewing as our demo artist Tuesday. He is an amazing artist. He and Carol have been a great addition to ALA.
