Our first workday of 2024
It was a very nice late winter morning. It was cloudy with a nice breeze and comfortable temps. Those who were able to assist on this first workday were Scott (welcome back), Juanita, Kay, Rochelle, Bea, Pat, Dick, Dwayne (welcome newbie), Barbara, and our volunteers Ken and CG.
FYI The new director of the Hays Center, Dustin Free, took photos of the early bird group who worked earlier this month and has them displayed on the TV located by the office. He would love for you to check it out.😀🤗
We took care of the following tasks today: continued to remove leaves from the beds, especially the long bed (both sides) divided the liriope in the front entrance beds (liriope was donated in multiple ways),trimmed up perennials and weeded. Some of our azaleas are not looking their best. They have winter burn and a fungus.
