I’ve had an innate desire for 20 years to record an album. I’ve written songs since I could hold a guitar. Song writing eventually became an amazing outlet of emotion for me.

I taught my son how to play ukulele when he was 5 with one I found in Afghanistan. He skyrocketed from there. At 14, he’s better than I’ll ever be… not just at guitar, but being an amazing human as well. The story of us recording this album is honestly amazing. So amazing that we’re going to record podcast interviews where he will ask me questions and we talk about the meaning of lyrics and how we structured each song. He’s my best friend and one hell of a reason to keep driving on.

I won’t lie, this has been the hardest year of my life, but somehow the best. I guess it do be like that though.

The album is on all platforms. Link to Spotify in bio. Check it out. It’s all about war, alcoholism, love, and loss. I’ve spent almost half my life writing these and hope that maybe, just maybe it resonates with someone struggling as well.

That’s a wrap folks. Vietnam war stories is in the history books just like the men we honored today. This year, I walked away scratching my head. I didn’t know you could use a tine rake for rear support!! I also had the best pork butt sandwich that I’ve had in a long ass time!

Thank you to everyone who came out and shot, lended a hand, or even called to tell me they couldn’t make and that they were truly upset they couldn’t come.

This competition has turned into more than a long range match. I saw guys that were genuinely excited to be there. To see old friends. To be read a crazy scenario from Vietnam, then given a few minutes to recreate and honor their sacrifice.

It’s been exactly 50 years since the end of the Vietnam Conflict. I oddly feel a connection or parallel with Vietnam vets since the Afghanistan war ended in a not so great manner.

I feel that it is always good practice to mentally put yourself in someone’s shoes to gain a new perspective.

So even though we missed more targets than we care to admit today, I think we hit the mark…

And I’m cool with that…

Vietnam War Stories will kick of tomorrow with rounds down range by 0800.

Shooters: try and arrive by 0700 for check in and safety brief.

The focus of this match is to re-enact historical sniper engagements from the Vietnam War.

has designed some great courses of fire for this match and has all around been a pivotal role in the ex*****on of this event.

Gonna be a good time!

ANGSA headquarters got a direct hit from Mother Nature yesterday. We’ll be black on comms for a little until the AO gets squared away. Everyone is ok thankfully. All in all, it’s just stuff.
