Arkansas National Guard Foundation The Arkansas National Guard Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity The Association began providing term life insurance to its members in 1967.

The Arkansas National Guard Foundation was created in 2014 as the successor to the National Guard Association of Arkansas Insurance Trust. The National Guard Association of Arkansas (NGAA) was created in 1927 to advocate for support of the National Guard in Arkansas. In 1968 the Trust was created by the NGAA and the Enlisted Association of the Arkansas National Guard (EAANG) to enable veteran-focused charitable giving from the proceeds of the insurance program. Since its creation, the Foundation and its predecessors have provided over $1.1 million in scholarships to Guard members, their dependents, and their survivors. The creation of the Foundation enabled the consolidation of several existing charitable organizations and programs. The Foundation conducts its activities by creating endowments or funds to service specific needs. The Foundation seeks to expand its impact on the lives of Guard members, their dependents, and survivors of all military branches through programs that will improve education, provide training for job placement, enable emergency response for active members of the reserve components and survivors of all branches of service in Arkansas, and improve overall readiness of Arkansas National Guard Soldiers and Airmen.

The Lyon College School of Dental Medicine invites veterans to Give Veterans a Smile!

As a thank-you to those who have served our country, LCSDM students, faculty and staff are hosting a special event just for veterans on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Patient Care Clinic in Little Rock.

Veterans can receive free dental screening exams, fluoride treatments, oral hygiene instruction, toothbrushes and dental hygiene goodie bags.

A limited number of dental care vouchers will also be available for future treatment at the clinic. Depending on eligibility, services may include comprehensive exams, extractions, restorative treatment and other eligible dental care.

Advance registration is encouraged, and walk-ins are welcome. Veterans must bring proof of service, such as a valid military ID or DD-214.

Hearts of our Heroes needs volunteers for Boot Guards.

Hearts of our Heroes is once again setting up the Fallen Heroes Combat Boot Display honoring more than 650 fallen service members from Arkansas who have died while serving since 9/11 located at Veterans Plaza in Conway. This is an undertaking so need volunteers to help with the set up Friday morning, take down Sunday morning but even more so, we need Boot Guards! Boot Guards stand watch over the boots 24/7 throughout the weekend (in 4 hour shifts) to ensure they stay safe and protected but also be able to talk with those who come to visit this meaningful memorial display.
