On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, our Boardman location, Davis Becker Funeral Home, will open its doors for "Dying to Know," a free educational open house giving community members a judgment-free space to ask the questions most people are too afraid, too busy, or too overwhelmed to ask — until life forces them to. Join us for this informal event at 8536 Market Street Boardman.

This is an opportunity to speak directly with representatives from local organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard, Hospices, In-Home Senior Care, Nurse Honor Guard, Estate Planning Attorneys, local Cemeteries and Crematories, Monument providers, Florists, Caterers, and more...

Last night's luminaries reminded me of a powerful truth:

This is a new weekly gathering designed for anyone who has ever felt like their grief was unwelcome, unseen, or difficult to share.

No agenda, no expectations, and no timeline for healing.
This is simply a place to be.
A place where your grief is met with grace.

Beginning September 13! More details coming soon.

Because what we acknowledge together, we don't have to carry alone.

Grief doesn’t come with a rulebook. There isn’t a *normal* way to feel or heal.

This month at Night/Light, we’re talking about the uniqueness of grief — how your relationship, your memories, and your heart shape a journey no one else can duplicate. Psalm 139:14 tells us we’re wonderfully made, and that includes how we process loss.
