❤️🚒 A GUARDIAN ANGEL ON EVERY RUN 🚒❤️
Today, we want to take a moment to recognize the Crowder family and honor the memory of Bob Crowder.
Following Bob’s passing, the Crowder family chose to make donations to the Northeast Champaign County Fire District in lieu of flowers. Because of their incredible generosity, Station Car 321 has been retrofitted and will continue serving our community for years to come.
But this gift means so much more to us than simply upgrading a vehicle.
In memory of Bob, we have placed a special decal on the side of Station Car 321. Every time that car leaves the station, Bob’s name will be right there with us.
When our crews answer the call in the middle of the night…
When we rush to help someone having the worst day of their life…
When our members leave their families behind to serve a neighbor…
Bob will be riding with us. ❤️
He will forever have a place within our fire family — a guardian angel watching over our crews, helping guide us safely to those who need us and safely back home to our own families.
There are some gifts that can be measured in dollars.
And then there are gifts that become part of an organization’s history and live on for generations.
This is one of those gifts.
The generosity of the Crowder family has created a lasting tribute to Bob — one that will be seen every time Station Car 321 responds to a call.
We know that no words can truly express how grateful we are. But we hope the Crowder family knows just how much this means to every member of the Northeast Champaign County Fire District.
Thank you.
Thank you for remembering Bob.
Thank you for honoring him with us.
And thank you for allowing us to carry a piece of his memory with us wherever the call takes us.
From this day forward, when Station Car 321 rolls out of the station, Bob rolls with us. ❤️
Rest easy, Bob.
We’ll take it from here. 🚒❤️
With deepest gratitude and respect,
Northeast Champaign County Fire District
Station 321
