We are only a few days away from our sweepstakes drawing on Monday September 7. Drawing time is still TBD but we anticipate between Noon and 2pm. Still time to get your entries in. You can purchase entries at the North Lewisburg Fire Department as well as from the North Lewisburg Police Department. They can also be purchased at the Bicentennial event. For convenience, we also allow Venmo entries -Assoc Photo verification of entries will be sent via text.

Be sure to include a phone number if submitting electronically so that we can send photo verification. This will also be our primary method of contact if you win. We hope to see many of you at the Bicentennial event. Visit the North Lewisburg Bicentennial page for a list of events.

Please see any North Lewisburg police officer or firefighter to get entered into the sweepstakes.

We plan to have the car for showing at the Sept 4th home game at Triad Schools. It will also be available at the park during the North Lewisburg Bicentennial events on Aug 29th as well as Sept 5-7th

The drawing will be on Sept 7th. Time TBD.

We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop and chat with us at the Champaign County Fair.

We have heard both compliments and criticism on the sweepstakes car. For those that were complementing the car, we appreciate that and hope that we can continue to do many things in the future.

We are aware it is not a new car and as much as we would love to hand over keys to a brand new car, financially speaking, this was not an option. We were presented with two options if we wanted to proceed with this sweepstakes. We could either decide to pay the taxes on the car and give away the car at just the cost of the ticket, or we could place the tax responsibility on the sweepstakes winner, which would be 24% gambling tax on the declared value of the car ( In compliance with state and federal laws). We are a small association, and even combined with the North Lewisburg Firemans Association, we do not have the funds to cover the taxes on a brand new car. Although the car may only cost you $10 for a ticket donation, the associations have decided to pay the taxes (almost $3,500) so you do not have to.  This is not a fundraiser for us. The proceeds collected after tax are going to a charity. This is both the fire and police associations putting in time and effort so we can give away a dependable car to somebody who may need it and along the way donating to a great charity to help combat mental health, addiction, hunger and homelessness among many other things.

We understand we will never please everyone, but we are proudly doing our best. There’s only 21 days left before we announce the winner.  Still plenty of time to donate to a great cause.

Winner will be announced at our local Bicentennial event on September 7th. Come out and visit the events August 29th and September 5-7th. Plenty of activities for both adults and children. Visit the North Lewisburg Bicentennial page for details about the events.

Many people have asked about the Charity in which we will be donating our profits to for this sweepstakes. The specific charity is called Impact 60. This is the charity that the dealership has chosen so that our associations may have this sweepstakes.

Impact 60 is a charity that focuses on:

Homelessness & Hunger: Funding emergency shelters, food pantries, and programs like the Empty Bowls Project.

Health & Addiction: Supporting local wellness, recovery, and mental health initiatives.

Humanity & Culture: Promoting the arts and local heritage through venues like the historic Avalon Theatre.

Workforce Development & Youth: Operating educational programs such as Teaching Automotive Principles (TAP) to help local students launch skilled careers.

We are happy to donate to Impact 60 as each one of these fields are crucial in society and affects local community’s including our community of North Lewisburg.
