Beautiful Vintage Landscape painting copy of Diane Romanello, Floridian artist. It has a designated number & signature.
I donated it to our club house about 4 years ago. One day about 9 months ago I arrived to clubhouse in the morning and the painting was gone. It was there the day before .
When I asked to the office I only received for explanation "It was taken down by a volunteer, who decided to re decorate the lobby, but I was never really explained whether if the painting was donated as charity or if it was given to somebody out of our community.
It sounded at the time I asked at office, clubhouse about 9 months ago, nobody knew what was done.
Still it is going around my mind, what really hsppened ?
I attached sticker on back of the painting with my name & phone number and the artist name.
I wrote " In case Association decide any new decoration , to call me and I would pick it up.
It is a surprise in present times, how people working at facilities as volunteers, they disrespect valuables at private communities. I am hinkinh, is it worthy to donate expensive items when you are not able to use it at home .?
People, because their lock of knowledgement, make many mistakes. I fill discouraged about giving anything that have meaning to me. I don't understand how people may decide to disregard value of other people goods.
I am glad I kept a picture of the painting. I enjoyed in my house in Texas, but when I moved to Fla, the condo livingroom did not have walls big enough for the style of the painting.
One day I decided to donate it to our Community club house.
Now I wonder, should I investigate more about it or am I to inquisitive about it.?
What would you do ?
I would like to know, how would you feel about, the painting being taken down and to disappear without any more explanation but "it was decided to take it down by volunteer" ????
