Good Morning Families,

We hope you are enjoying the start of your summer break ☀️!

To our new incoming families, welcome to our school community! We are excited to have you join us and look forward to getting to know you and your students in the coming school year.

We wanted to make sure you have our Welcome Back to School event marked on your calendars. Please plan to join us on August 7th from 1:00–3:00 PM for our Welcome Back event . This is a great opportunity to meet staff, connect with other families, and get ready for the new school year.

We wish all of our families a fun and restful summer. Take time to relax, make wonderful memories, and stay safe, especially around water💦.

🎨☀️ School’s out and summer is officially ON at Gilbert Academy of Creative Arts! ☀️🎨

To all of our amazing students, families, and staff; we wish you a summer filled with sunshine, laughter, adventure, creativity, and memories that last long after the season ends. You’ve worked hard this year and earned every bit of this break!

Before you know it… P**F! ✨ August will be knocking on our doors and we’ll be back together creating, learning, and growing again.

While you’re soaking up all the summer fun, here are a few ways to keep those minds shining bright:

📚 Read every day - books, comics, magazines, recipes, signs at the store… it all counts!
➕ Practice math in everyday life - count change, help cook and measure ingredients, play card games, or practice equations for a few minutes a day
🎨 Stay creative - draw, paint, build, sing, dance, imagine!
🌟 Keep asking questions and exploring the world around you

Before you hit rewind on summer and press play on the new school year…

Gilbert Academy of Creative Arts will not be adjusting the bell schedule for the 2026–2027 school year and will continue with the following the schedule:

🚌 Gates Open: 8:30 AM
📚 Instructional Time: 8:50 AM – 3:20 PM
☎️ Last Call for Early Office Pick-Up: 2:45 PM

Please save the date, add it to your planner, write it on the family calendar, or stick it on the fridge next to the pizza coupons and school pictures. 😄

Parents, Donut Forget… SBAC Testing is Here!

As testing begins, your support at home makes a BIG difference.

Here’s how you can help your student feel confident and ready:

🍩 Keep the night calm, donut stress, just encourage!🍩 Fuel up with a healthy dinner AND breakfast 🍳🥯🍩 Prep the night before: backpack, outfit, lunch ✔️🍩 Prioritize sleep: well-rested brains do their best 💤🍩 Remind them: “Just do your best—you’ve got this!”

✨ A little prep + a lot of love = sweet success ✨

🍩✨ DONUT STRESS… YOU’VE GOT THIS! ✨🍩

SBAC testing is here, and we’re sprinkling the school with encouragement! 💛

Our Donut-Themed Bulletin Board of Encouragement is now up in the cafeteria, filled with sweet messages to remind our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders that they are smart, capable, and ready to shine 🌟

Want to add a little extra sweetness to your student’s day?

📩 DM us your words of encouragement, and we’ll post it on the board for you because every student deserves a hole lot of support! 🍩💕

Next week, Thursday April 2nd, we’re inviting all students to show that different is beautiful by wearing their brightest, boldest, most creative outfits! 🎨✨

👕 Need ideas? We’ve got you!

🎨 Tie-dye, neon, or mismatched looks
