The Pinewood Derby is fast approaching! Please find the official rules attached in your most recent Pack e mail.
Please click the link below to sign up for food donations, as the Bears will be running the kitchen as part of their requirements. If anyone still has questions, feel free to ask. Remember... the objective is for a new derby car to be made by the scout with advise and assistance by an adult. Good luck and see everyone at February's Pack Meeting on Friday, 2/7/20 & our annual Pinewood Derby on 2/8/20.

Pack 1 families had lots of laughs at our December Pack meeting, complete with a visit from Santa, prizes for recent popcorn sales, "crowning" of top seller and then (a favorite pastime) of pie-ing 3 chosen adults...who were FANTASTIC sports!!!

UPCOMING EVENT: On Monday, 12/16 at 6:30pm, Pack 1 will be caroling at Brentwood by the Bay Assisted Living facility. Class A uniforms required, but feel free to add a festive touch such as a Santa hat, etc. Music and lyrics will be provided. If any scouts would like to perform with their instrument, please let us know.

Pack 1 reminds you of our Pack Meeting from 7-8:15 this evening at the UMC. We have several patches to hand out, Santa will be visiting and distributing derby kit cars and a sweet treat, all popcorn sellers will receiving their chosen prizes and our top three sellers will be throwing a pie in the leader of their choices face!!!
You won't want to miss this meeting!

Pack 1 has several upcoming events during this holiday season. Please see below and, as always, contact your den leader with any questions.

Monday 11/25: Arrow of Light & Bear dens (grades 5 & 3) will be meeting at the UMC from 6-7 to prepare the customary popcorn hat for our top seller. We will also have some other holiday-themed crafts for the boys to decorate and perhaps give as gifts! This is sure to be a fun time! Any Webelos who would like to attend are welcome.

Friday 12/6: Monthly Pack Meeting at UMC. Santa will be visiting and will hand out Pinewood Derby kits to each scout. In addition, we will be distributing prizes for popcorn sales and our top 3 sellers will choose a Pack 1 leader to pie in the face! Get your cameras ready!!! Top seller will also be "crowned" with the popcorn hat mentioned above. Class A uniforms required.

Saturday 12/7: Pack 1 scouts have been invited to the Wickford Festival of Lights celebration, where they are welcome to arrive on the boat with Santa, thanks to Julie & Palmer Beebe. Class A uniform requested...however, please dress warm underneath! Those who are interested MUST be at the end of Main St NO LATER THAN 12:15. The boat lands at the dock behind Walgreens at 12:30, at which time families are welcome to join in the festivities. Please RSVP if interested.

Monday 12/16: Pack 1's annual Christmas caroling will once again be held at Brentwood by the Bay Assisted Living facility at 4040 Post Rd in Warwick RI at 6:30pm. Class A uniforms required, but feel free to add a festive touch such as a Santa hat, etc. Music and lyrics will be provided. If any scouts would like to perform with their instrument, please let us know.
