As of right now we have already planted 30 of the 100 fruit trees we plan to plant this year. Some of these are only 6" tall seedlings that will not harvest for a few years.

We are working on getting more areas setup in order to bring out some of our larger birds.

Our save the tree project was late getting started but we did manage to get some of the more established and healthier trees wrapped in fencing. This prevents the cows from stripping the bark off and essentially killing the trees. It also allows us to maintain a natural canopy that provides some needed shade during the hot summer months.

Here's a little secret. We have quietly been working on details of how we may open our doors to allow visitors. With nearly 20 different schools and other organizations patiently waiting for the opportunity to be able to offer field trips and group gatherings; we are listening.
As many of you already know we are not staffed for such a thing. But with lots of collaboration and team effort, we may have the ability to have a limited schedule. We are also looking at setting up a volunteer group to assist during these times.
As we continue to grow we find ourselves getting more support, which allows us to get more accomplished in shorter time frames.
We have struggled to get this far and have yet a longer road to still travel. But the overwhelming appreciation of the project, it's goals and efforts, we will continue to strive. This year mother nature rained on our only event, the Easter Celebration. And as a result we feel that many folks missed out on the opportunity to come out.
We still want everyone to have a chance to get out and see the project as it moves along. Meaning, that this year we are currently working really hard to create a plan that allows us to have at least a few hours each month whereas people can visit.

We are now excepting donation for the fruit tree plot. Our plot/ orchard, would provide years of fresh animal feed. As our inventory of animals continues to grow, so does the cost of supplementary feed primarily during the winter months. We are working to establish an adequate supply of food that we can harvest and store for future demand.
Though we love it when trees are donated and delivered, we also know it's not practical for everyone. So, we added a list at the end of the reel. The list is a screenshot of the order we are looking to place soon. And if you prefer we can except cash/check donations to put towards the order. Either way we will still be placing and order for identification and donor recognition signs to be placed in the orchard to show appreciation and information.

Every donation is important no matter the size and so is everyone's support. We thank all who have joined us in this exciting adventure.

As we begin our 2026 project of planting 100 fruit trees and develop a food orchard to provide the animals with a continuous supply of fresh produce. We have already received a few donations of Apple and Pear trees from our local followers.
