We had the opportunity to get out and pickup some really nice doghouse for our foxes. And today we had a hand from a neighbor that frequently stop in. He helped us to get the houses into the enclosure.

Working on the details of the Alligator enclosure. This particular project is be planned to be completed in the next 3yrs at a current estimated 200,000. In development.
30x100 heated pool, indoor area, a solar system and a water filtration system. Also looking at lighting to provide adequate UV basking light.

We are now in possession of two Skunks. At this point we are super far behind on getting enclosures setup. We will be going out this next weekend to finally pickup our much needed tractor. Once we get it here we will be able to recover our skidsteer and get it to the shop to be repaired.
We have officially ordered our handicap restroom units and expect them to be delivered this weekend. This was made possible by our supplier at Service Sanitation and by the amazing people Northern Indiana Community Foundation in Starke county and thier generous grant approval for the soul purpose of acquiring these units.

North Judson Zoo Im aware that we have been pretty quiet on here but we have been working on many things.
We are looking to add a small frame highland bull to our collection.
Working on a setup for the new Emu pair we have recently aquired.
We just finished all of our out-of-state construction projects allowing more focus in north judson.
We recently updated our equipment to handle the heavier items such as our lare round bales. We have also placed and started receiving our annual hay order.
We are working on the details of being a final stop for a cancer motorcycle ride that will raise money for cancer treatment.
We also just received a grant for the purchase of two handicap portable restrooms that have been ordered to better serve those who need the extra space.

As of right now we have already planted 30 of the 100 fruit trees we plan to plant this year. Some of these are only 6" ...

As of right now we have already planted 30 of the 100 fruit trees we plan to plant this year. Some of these are only 6" tall seedlings that will not harvest for a few years.

We are working on getting more areas setup in order to bring out some of our larger birds.

Our save the tree project was late getting started but we did manage to get some of the more established and healthier trees wrapped in fencing. This prevents the cows from stripping the bark off and essentially killing the trees. It also allows us to maintain a natural canopy that provides some needed shade during the hot summer months.
