Starke County Police Department took time out of their busy days to teach the scouts how the police help out our community!

The scouts loved learning about the tools they carry, the equipment in their squad cars and their K9 officer! They even brought us a few goodies!
We are very thankful for our police department!!

Our scouts once again participated in making signs for the annual Woodworking Auction to benefit families in the county for Christmas put on by our neighboring Hamlet Pack.

Each piece is made of reclaimed wood, in which the scouts removed nails from and hand sanded to prep.
Then they broke off into two groups, to quite literally hand paint (fingerpaint) each sign!

Once dry Cubmaster Ravin brought them home and hand painted the lettering.

Each piece is also signed by the scouts who worked on it.

They will be available to bid on at the auction;

"Leave No Trace"

Just like that our weekend of camping fun is over.
A HUGE thank you to the Dault Family for allowing us access to use their private camping/fishing grounds.
The scouts had an absolute blast. It's amazing to see these scouts break out of their shells and blossom into their crazy amazing personalities.

Our scouts use a flippable Octopus to keep track of their conduct while on outings, since a candle would quickly blow out.

Today, the scouts were on their best behaviors and kept our Octopus on the happy face all day long, which means we got resourceful and made our very own drive in theatre!

Den Leader Tom Szynalski teaching our scouts how to start a fire with Flint and Steel.

Tomorrow, the scouts will be lighting the fire for breakfast entirely on their own with the skills they've learned.
