Our Friends at the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium are hosting 2 Summer Camps. Explore Our Solar System is from July 13-17 for students entering grades 6-8. Build a Living World is from July 27-31 for students entering grades 10-12. Although this is not a BAA event, we felt fans of our page might be interested in this.

Erie County Parks, Recreation & Forestry and the BAA hope you will come out and join us this evening at the Stars Over Chestnut Ridge event at Chestnut Ridge Park Casino.

Tonight’s event is on. Stargazing and Rocket Launches will be weather dependent. The Science Fair and presentations will be indoors. The Challenger Center Lockport is bringing their inflatable planetarium.

The event is in the park’s Casino. Take the exit off of Route 277 (Chestnut Ridge Road) that has signs for Casino Parking. This entrance has an overpass.

💫 This Saturday, join the Buffalo Astronomical Association (BAA) and Erie County Parks, Recreation & Forestry for "Stars Over Chestnut Ridge."

A FREE, family-friendly event begins with a hands-on science fair, followed by stargazing or astronomy presentations. House of Munch food truck will also be on site.
