This morning started with a crash notification that was unfounded. While responding to that incident we diverted a crew with Attack 2 to a 2nd incident assisting Westmoreland City Fire Dept with a carbon monoxide alarm response.

A big thank you to ESI Equipment, Inc. for completing the annual PM on our Holmatro equipment today. Regular PMs assure that our equipment is operating perfectly when you need it most.

This morning we responded along with Westmoreland City Fire Dept to a commercial flooding incident due to a water leak inside of the building. Crews were able to isolate the source of the leak and assisted staff with cleanup within the business.

Attack 2, Rescue 2, and Service 2 along with units from Westmoreland City Fire Dept and Larimer VFD are attending the car show at Walmart North Huntingdon today. Stop by and see us until 2 and after 2 a new set of North Huntingdon Fire Departments will have their units on display.

This evening we responded along with the Fairmont Hahntown Volunteer Fire Department for a lawn tractor on fire behind a residence. Attack 2 arrived and extinguished the fire. Engine 2 and Rescue 6 also assisted on scene.

This week started off with the annual Memorial Day Parade in Irwin. Prior to the parade a few of our members gathered at the cemetery with the family of John “Buck” Brighenti who passed away in the line of duty while serving our department in 1984. Saturday Rescue 2 attended the Scott C. Classic’s Tribute to Our Veteran’s Car Cruise along with a crew from the Fairmont Hahntown Volunteer Fire Department.
