HP Houston Toastmasters Club Toastmasters is a non-profit organization which helps people improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. What is Toastmasters?

Never been to Toastmasters? Think of Toastmasters as a support group. We are a safe place for you to practice speaking and make mistakes. We won’t call on you the first time you visit us. If you decide to join, we will give you plenty of opportunities to lead, speak, and listen. Why Toastmasters at HP? Because it works! Being part of Toastmasters helps develop self-confidence. Your experience will

depend on where you are currently, and how much effort you put in. Apart from the obvious work related benefits that Toastmasters provides, here are a few benefits that members have enjoyed in their personal lives:

Becoming better at communicating with your spouse (and kids)

Learning to be better listeners

Ability to think “on your feet” and convey your message clearly

Giving feedback that isn't taken the wrong way


Join us for our virtual meetings from 12:00 PM to 1 PM on Wednesdays (see directions page for more info). Log in by 11:45 AM as our meeting starts PROMPTLY at noon. Guests are always welcome. Membership is NOT limited to HPI / HPE employees!
