Help us reach more families and save more kids.

Families are already coming to us. The big question is whether state funding and policy structures will meet them there. We don’t need to create a new system.

We know what works. We need people to invest in the prevention mechanisms that families already trust; evidence-based family strengthening services that have already been proven to keep children out of the child welfare system and keep families whole.

Your donation to The Child Abuse Prevention Center today will help keep more kids safe in their home.

Because of supporters like you, families don’t have to face challenges alone.

This April during Child Abuse Prevention Month, we saw what’s possible when a community comes together—raising awareness, showing up, and prioritizing children’s safety.

Let’s keep that momentum going with a donation to The Child Abuse Prevention Center. Your gift helps us continue showing up for families when it matters most. 💙

Strong families need strong systems—and that’s where the California Family Resource Association (CFRA) comes in. 💙

Facilitated by The Child Abuse Prevention Center, CFRA is a statewide network connecting 200+ Family Resource Centers and partners across 52 counties—all working together to strengthen families and prevent child abuse.

Through advocacy, training, and collaboration, CFRA is building community and igniting action through a more connected and equitable system of support for families across California.

The impact is far-reaching:
đź’™ 800+ individuals engage in trainings and convenings each year
đź’™ 120+ organizations certified in national family strengthening standards
đź’™ $16M in relief funding helped support over 470,000 individuals statewide

From rural communities to urban neighborhoods, CFRA helps ensure families have access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive.

As we head into Big Day of Giving on May 7, your support helps us continue this critical statewide work.

Early giving is open—join us in strengthening families and communities across California. 💙

Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent child abuse. đź’™

Through The Child Abuse Prevention Center’s Training Department, we build community and ignite action by equipping professionals and community members with the skills they need to better support children and families.

In the past year alone, we provided 162 training sessions to over 1,000 participants—building knowledge in areas like mandated reporting, trauma-informed care, mental health, and family support.

The impact goes beyond the classroom:
đź’™ Participants feel more confident recognizing and responding to child abuse
đź’™ Professionals gain tools to support families with empathy and cultural humility
đź’™ Communities become better equipped to keep children safe

As one participant shared: “I at least know how to start a conversation now… and how to help.”

This is how prevention happens—through education, awareness, and action.
As we head into Big Day of Giving on May 7, your support helps us continue providing these critical trainings to those on the frontlines.

Early giving is open—join us in building stronger, safer communities. 💙

Every baby deserves a safe place to sleep. đź’™

Through our Safe Sleep Baby (SSB) Program, The Child Abuse Prevention Center is working to prevent sleep-related infant deaths by providing education, resources, and direct support to families across our community.

From safe sleep workshops to providing free cribs for families in need, this program ensures caregivers have the tools and knowledge to keep their babies safe.

The impact is real:
đź’™ 1,000+ caregivers educated each year
đź’™ 600+ cribs provided to families
đź’™ 94% of participants report using cribs consistently
đź’™ A 56% reduction in sleep-related deaths among Black infants in Sacramento County

And it doesn’t stop there—SSB also trains healthcare and community partners to create lasting, system-wide change in how families are supported.

As one participant shared, “The program provides good information for keeping a baby safe… and peace of mind for families.”
This is what prevention looks like.

As we continue our Big Day of Giving efforts, your support helps us expand programs like Safe Sleep Baby and ensure every child has a safe, healthy start.

It’s not too late to give—be part of the impact. 💙
