Mission to the City

Thank you for visiting the Mission to the City page. My name is Quinten Wallace and Mission to the City has been a dream of mine since I was a young man. I grew up in a loving home, I was raised with good moral values and love for people. As an adolescent, I sought acceptance from peers that led me down the wrong path. At the age of 16, I was out on my own sleeping on friends couches and doing what I could to survive. I found my value on how others felt about me. I looked for love in girls and I turned to the streets, gangs and drugs to fill a void. It’s easy no matter our background to be enticed by our surroundings and by what we see on tv and through music, etc. I realized this was not the life I wanted to live and I wanted more. I knew the only end to this road was death. Because I didn’t have a strong role model who could tell me the truth, I believed a lie. Our youth are easily influenced in today’s society. Our mission is to be the positive influence for the next generation. My goal is to be that role model that I didn’t have to every young person that I come into contact with. My wife, Teresa is my partner and we make a great team. She is a positive role model for young ladies. I speak with incarcerated youth at the Sacramento juvenile hall. I also speak at local high schools to provide encouragement to students. I’ve obtained certificates in Systematic Theology, Practical Theology, and Apologetics while continuing to pursue my degree. I’m a youth program director at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Elk Grove. I am available to speak at events, mentoring, discipleship, and drug and alcohol prevention.
