Lucy's House for the Prevention of Homeless Pets

Lucy's House for the Prevention of Homeless Pets Lucy's House for the Prevention of Homeless Pets provides pet food support and medical assistance to keep pets in their homes.

Lucy's House supports people in keeping pets in their homes during difficult financial times. At Lucy's House we believe no pet should go hungry. We also help families find low cost ways to make cat and dog toys and treats.

Due to not meeting our modest goal of raising $3000 this year in our fund raising if anyone wants to donate to Lucy's House donations are tax deductible and 100% of donations goes to the cause to support keeping pets in their homes. Lucy's House is an all-volunteer organization. You can reach us at [email protected] We can send our mailing address to send donations.

As the times become more uncertain the need for supporting keeping pets in their homes is even more important. Pets provide emotional support, unconditional love, a judgement free zone, and allows so many to be more active, social, and in their communities. Pets help reduce isolation, loneliness, and provide a sense of belonging and acceptance that supports connection. Due to the times our fund raising efforts have been limited as businesses struggle so donations to our silent auction have been woefully small. We do appreciate the support in pet donations that so many people have provided at Petit Brook Vet Clinic and Market 32 in Essex and hope those who can will continue to support us as the need is doubling for pet food. We are doing more pop ups at food shelves to help meet the need in many areas. Food shelves should feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if they would like us to do a pop up at their location.

As the holidays approach Lucy's House is gathering donations to make pet holiday gift bags for dogs and cats. We need dog bones, treats, toys, cat treats, cat toys, and canned food. You can drop off at Petit Brook Vet Clinic or at Market 32 in Essex. Thanks for you help in supporting our mission in keeping pets in their homes.

Thanks to Market 32 in Essex for supporting Lucy's House with grab and go pet bags people can buy and donate to our organization. The need for pet food has more then doubled in the last five years and continues to be an area that is greatly appreciated as costs increase. Our mission is to keep pets in their homes and all monetary donations go directly to our pet food and medical support programs. Right now we do not have funding for our medical program and will be working to fundraise for that in the future. Thanks to all who continue to donate pet food, treats, dog bones, and other pet supplies as well as specialty pet foods. We have some pet owners who need urinary and digestive foods for dogs and cats. Without your support we could not support keeping the over 1200 pets in their homes a month every year.

❤️ This cat is safe with the finder for now and she was able to get the netting off of him; he will be checked for a microchip as well. ❤️

Adult light orange tabby cat seen near King, Church, Maple Streets in Burlington. I'm posting on behalf of someone who works near there and is not on Facebook. She's been seeing him for a few weeks and now he has netting around his neck. She's going to try to get him in a carrier and get him inside. Will check for a microchip and get him in with a rescue if no owner is found. Thank you!
