In September our lodge held our annual golf tournament at Hunters Golf Club, with proceeds going to our annual scholarship program and the Epilepsy Foundation! We are so excited to present the Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut with our donation! 🇮🇹⛳️

The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy delivered a carload of nonperishable food items to the North Haven Community Services food pantry on February 26th.

These items were donated by the members of Lodge #2805 and delivered by its Community Outreach Committee.

On November 17th, The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy, Lodge 2805 delivered a carload of new hats, mittens, scarves and jackets to the 'rkids Family Center in New Haven CT. These items were collected via our generous Lodge members and collected at our monthly Lodge meetings. Programs at 'rkids Family Center (https://rkidsct.org) provide services to vulnerable children & their families, promoting permanency, safety & stability for children through services to their biological, foster or adoptive families.

We would like to thank everyone that donated for this drive, and for the support our members give for the ongoing endeavors of the Lodge's Community Outreach Committee. The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy, Lodge 2805 meets on the first Tuesday of every month and welcomes new members. The North Haven Sons and Daughters of Italy, Lodge 2805 recently held a collection of single serving snacks to benefit the patients of the West Haven VA Hospital. The drive was very successful, and on November 10th members Lodge members delivered 13 full grocery bags and 4 boxes of snacks to members of the Dept. of CT VFW Auxiliary. The Auxiliary will in turn distribute the snacks to patients at the WHVA on a regular basis. Our Lodge is proud to partner with the VFW Auxiliary for this mission. On this special day, we wish a very happy birthday to His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV.

Born and raised in Chicago, his remarkable life journey stands as a source of inspiration for the people of his hometown and for so many others around the world. A proud son of Chicago with deep Italian roots, he was shaped by a vibrant faith and community that would one day lead him to the highest office of the Catholic Church.

In a unique tribute to his roots, his childhood home has been acquired by the City of Chicago and will soon be opened to the public as a museum. This initiative will preserve a piece of his history and allow people to connect with the very place that shaped the man who would one day become Pope. It's a testament to the pride his community holds for him.

His journey from Chicago to the Chair of Saint Peter is a testament to the enduring faith and global reach of the Catholic Church.

May his birthday be filled with blessings, and may he continue to be a beacon of hope and guidance for all.
