A Farewell from Julia's Butterfly Foundation
After 20 years of turning our compassion into action, Julia’s Butterfly Foundation has reached the milestone we set out to achieve. It is with both pride and heartfelt emotion that we share that the Foundation will wind down its work by the end of 2025, having fulfilled the mission we began two decades ago in honor of Julia's memory and spirit.
Together—thanks to our partnerships with dedicated social workers, encouragement of our community, and the generosity of our donors, we helped 762 families navigate some of life’s most difficult moments. We provided nearly $2.5 million in compassionate support, standing beside children and families facing unimaginable challenges with dignity, care, and hope.
To the social workers we’ve had the privilege to work with — we truly couldn’t have done this without you. You have been the heart of our mission. Your referrals, your trust, and your steadfast commitment made it possible for us to reach the families who needed us most. Your belief in our work has fueled our purpose and sustained our efforts, year after year.
As we prepare to close this chapter, we will continue accepting applications through September 15, 2025. Our commitment to serving families—with the same compassion and care that has guided us from the very beginning—remains unwavering.
While our formal operations will come to an end, the spirit of Julia’s legacy will live on: in every life touched, in every act of kindness inspired, and in every moment of grace we've been honored to witness.
