What a great turn out to kick the school year off for so many in education this past Wednesday. How wonderful to experience this special place first hand with its many overlapping histories.

The Badger History Group was also there in spirit! Did you know our Board Vice President Dan Halling taught history for 25 years at Sauk Prairie High School, where he developed a class called “Wisconsin and Local History,” taking students to experience Badger firsthand? Those students were very lucky.

On Wed. morning, more than 300 Sauk Prairie School District (SPSD) staff, teachers, and administrators gathered at Badger for a start to the school year event. Thanks to all who helped make this happen, especially representatives from the Ho Chunk Nation and SPSD. We hope this is the beginning of a new partnership to get students out to experience and learn at Badger.
