It’s that time of year again… and we are so excited to open up applications for the Summer Stirrup Scholarship🤍

At Hoofed Heroes, our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for individuals to connect with horses—and summer camp is the perfect place for that. 🐴✨

We know that for many kids, summer camp is where they fall in love with horses for the very first time… and we don’t want finances to be the reason they miss that moment. 🤍

This scholarship is here to make sure every child has the chance to experience that connection, build confidence, and discover something they truly love.

Spots are limited, and we can’t wait to bless families with this opportunity. 🤍

Please share with anyone who could benefit—this is what it’s all about. 🐴✨

Cooking for the families at the Ronald McDonald House has quickly become one of our Trailblazing Teens’ favorite ways to serve. Preparing a meal for families going through such difficult times is truly a special experience.

After they wrote out the menu, I noticed some empty space at the bottom of the page and suggested they write an encouraging message for the families staying there.

Read what they wrote…
It literally brought tears to my eyes. 🥹

These kiddos have no idea how incredible they are. Watching them learn compassion, kindness, and the importance of serving others is such a blessing, and we feel honored to be part of their journey.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, I highly encourage you to check out the opportunities at the Ronald McDonald House. Cooking for the families is such a meaningful (and fun!) way to give back.

Stirrup Scholarship Spotlight 💛🐴

Because of the generosity behind our Stirrup Scholarship Program, Emaliea was able to participate in a horse show — an incredible opportunity made possible by our community.

Part of her scholarship application included an essay, and her words truly touched our hearts. We wanted to share a few small pieces:

✨ “Every ride helped me grow… horses became the way I built my confidence.”

✨ “I started doubting myself — wondering if I wasn’t good enough and if maybe I should just quit. But I didn’t quit.”

✨ “Working with her taught me how to trust… slowly, my confidence returned.”

✨ “To me, horses mean challenge, growth, and courage.”

✨ “I want to show everyone — especially myself — what I can do.”

That last line 🥹… that’s why this program exists.

Confidence. Courage. Opportunity.

Because of donors and supporters, she got to walk into that arena believing in herself — and that is something that will stay with her far beyond one horse show.

We are so incredibly proud of her, and so grateful for every person who makes opportunities like this possible. 💛

If you’ve ever donated, volunteered, or shared our mission — you are part of moments like this.

This weekend was probably one of the most meaningful experiences Hoofed Heroes has had since we started this organization.

Our mission has always been simple — to create meaningful opportunities for individuals to connect with horses. But this weekend… we truly got to watch that mission come to life in the most powerful way.

We had the incredible honor of hosting the Children's Network of Southwest Florida’s Boots, Hearts & Forever Homes families — a day open to families with approved home studies and the amazing children who are waiting for their forever homes.

Every detail of the day was intentionally designed to provide a relaxed, pressure-free environment where real connection could happen — with the horses, with each other, and with the experience itself.

For almost all of these children, this was the very first time they had ever seen a horse… and definitely the first time they had ever ridden one.

To say it was an honor feels like a complete understatement.

There were moments this weekend that simply cannot be put into words — the smiles, the bravery, the laughter, the quiet confidence building right in front of us. By the end of the day, we were all just full of emotion. It was impactful, incredible, and something none of us will ever forget.

We could not have done this without our amazing volunteers. You are the hands and hearts behind everything we do. You showed up with patience, kindness, and love — and you made this weekend possible.

And to our donors and supporters — please know that what you give truly matters. Because of you, opportunities like this exist. Because of you, children get to experience moments of joy, confidence, and connection they might not otherwise have. Your generosity reaches farther than you will ever fully see, and we are so incredibly grateful.

And to the Children’s Network of Southwest Florida — thank you for trusting us to be part of such an important and meaningful day in these children’s lives. It was truly an honor beyond words.

This is exactly why Hoofed Heroes exists. ❤️🐴

Trailblazing Teens is one of those things that just makes my heart so full. 💛

We have teens who aren’t even into horses, teens who train and/or board at other barns, homeschoolers, public school kids, some dropped off by parents, some who drive themselves, all different backgrounds, all different stories… but they all have a few really special things in common.

They want to be part of something bigger than themselves.
They want to make real friends.
They want to have fun.
They want a place where they feel like they belong.

And that’s exactly what Trailblazing Teens has become. A safe place. A fun place. A place to laugh, eat pizza and do really meaningful things for others.

We’ve officially finalized our upcoming volunteer opportunities and I am SO excited for what’s ahead for this group. These teens are about to be part of some really special moments, and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

If you have a teen (13+), whether they’re a “horse kid” or not, Trailblazing Teens is for them. This group is about connection, confidence, community, and learning that you can make a difference..just by showing up 🩵

🎄 As we move into the week of Christmas, we’re reminded that for some families, home looks very different this year, and the holidays can be especially hard.

Our Trailblazing Teens were honored to cook dinner for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida by cooking dinner, delivering food and hygiene items, and sharing handwritten notes filled with love and encouragement.

Cooking for these families has become one of our favorite service projects, and we’ll definitely be back.

How can you help?
RMHC is always in need of everyday essentials like household and personal care items, non-perishable food, and activities for children. Donating from their wish list or giving gift cards for gas, groceries, or big-box stores truly makes a difference.r

196 gifts.
49 children.
15 families.
1 amazing day!

Today we had the honor of hosting our Adopt-A-Family distribution event, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

Our little Christmas elves quietly loaded gifts into cars while the kids stayed distracted—with Santa, crafts, hot cocoa, cookies, and of course, spending time on horseback. 🎄✨🐴

We’ve also been keeping a little secret that I couldn’t share yet because we wanted to surprise the families but…

each and every family was blessed by another local family who donated over $1,500 in Publix gift cards, making it possible for the families to gather around the table and enjoy a beautiful, stress-free Christmas dinner. 🥹🙏🏼 How incredible is that?!?

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who helped make this year’s Adopt-A-Family for Christmas program so special.

Because of you, these beautiful children will wake up on Christmas morning surrounded by joy, love, and Christmas magic. We are truly beyond grateful. 🎄💛✨
