The King Run Ride – Saturday, August 29, 2026
What an incredible day! Despite the rain, the smiles, laughter, and support from everyone involved made this one of the most memorable King Run rides to date.
A big thank you to the Patriot Riders of America Chapter 1 for leading the ride and assisting with traffic control at several locations. You did an awesome job, and we truly appreciate your support.
Thank you to 103.9 WVBO for coming out and helping us in the morning before we departed on the ride.
A special shout-out to Girl Scout Troop 2067 for presenting the flags before our ride. These young ladies did an outstanding job, and we were honored to have them participate.
A heartfelt thank you to Jasper's for providing the location to start and end our ride, as well as the fantastic taco bar. The staff, atmosphere, and hospitality were amazing. We look forward to hosting more events at this fine establishment.
Thank you to Eureka Landing's for providing can koozies, bandanas, and the opportunity to win a gift certificate. They have an amazing menu, welcoming staff, and a great atmosphere.
A huge thank you to Road Rash Bar for the outstanding pulled pork meal and for all of the support provided throughout this event. We look forward to working with you again.
One of the highlights of the day was our visit to the King Veterans Home. We shared many laughs and meaningful conversations with the men and women who reside there. The convoy of motorcycles passing in front of Moses Hall was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by everyone watching.
The moment of silence at the cemetery gave us all a chance to reflect on the veterans we had just visited and those who have served before them. As we stood in remembrance, even the rain seemed to pause for that special moment.
Our journey then took us through Wautoma and Berlin to The Cabin Bar, where riders were able to rest under the tent while waiting for the rain to pass.
During the ride, participants were challenged to identify unusual things they spotted along the route. Riders who found them earned prizes and gas cards. It was fun hearing everyone's observations, and many agreed the route offered beautiful scenery.
Every participant received a goody bag at registration, including a free ice cream coupon.
Every veteran received an appreciation coin, and everyone had the opportunity to add a little more bling to their vest.
The raffle drawings went smoothly, and even more prizes were awarded throughout the day.
Everyone was in great spirits, and there was plenty of laughter and camaraderie. This amazing group of riders helped make 2026 one of our most enjoyable King Run events to date.
Our event T-shirts were available in black, army green, and pink, in sizes Medium through 4XL. We will be placing another shirt order soon, so if your preferred size is unavailable, we can still order the size and color you would like.
We are always looking for suggestions for future ride routes, stops, and event locations. Your ideas help us continue improving and growing these events.
On behalf of everyone at The King Run, thank you to all who participated, all of our sponsors, and every passport book location that helped make this event a success. The passport book was enjoyed by many participants, and we are already considering creating another one in the future.
Keep an eye on our page as we continue planning events throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for our veterans while bringing people together for fun, fellowship, and support.
Thank you again to everyone who braved the rain and made this event such a success. We are already looking forward to planning next year's route, locations, and adventures.
