⭐️Another Summer Camp at Camp Yawgoog 2026 is in the books.⭐️ We had a very busy and fun filled week. We could have done without the deluge at the beginning of the week and the intense humidity at the end😅. The girls worked on Swimming, archery, environmental science, oceanography, geology, forestry, pioneering, and basketry merit badges. Celina earned second class scout rank. We celebrated Eula and Mr. Santos’ birthdays 🎂. 🌟SLUSHIES!!!, tiny visitor 💕, Dandy Staff🪾🌟Our theme was detective and the girls totally understood the assignment. They won campsite decoration with an amazing “Who dun it” interactive mystery skit they presented to the camp staff. We had a wonderful week. ⚜️🕵️‍♀️🔍

We did it!!! We took MBTA transit to the New England Aquarium/Quincy Market and made it back before first flakes fell. It was great to get the girls out to enjoy this day before we’re stuck inside. An urban hike is still a hike! Please stay safe in this storm. ⛄️❄️🌨️🚊🚇🐡🐠

Update:⭐️THE GIRLS EARNED FIRST PLACE!⭐️

This past Saturday, Troop 13G participated in their very first Klondike derby at Camp Norse. We are so very proud of the sportsmanship, team work and scout spirit they displayed. You impressed many scouters out there. We would like to thank Mr. Ferry and Mr. Santos for helping them be prepared for this challenge. We are still waiting on results. Great job Ladies!⚜️🛷❄️🪢🔥🪵

⭐️Today our village raised another 🦅Eagle Scout! Congratulations to our very own Kristen Maiorano as she reaches this long awaited goal. She has had a very busy summer/fall attending Navy boot camp and settling into her training as Machinist mate⚓️. Your troop is so very proud of you today and always. We can’t wait to hear about your future adventures.⭐️

We had a really fun and eventful day at our Scoutsgiving today. Turkeys were roasting in trash cans and when they were done they were so delicious😋. While they were cooking, the girls worked on Klondike derby skills with Mr. Ferry. They practiced fire building, snow shoe race, milk crate stacking, knots and hatchet throwing. Then all of our family and friends came to enjoy dinner together. Wonderful day! 🦃💕⚜️
