On Saturday, we had our very first virtual Relay for Life! Last year, we made 12k during our walk at UMass Dartmouth, but we wanted to make the goal even higher this year to challenge ourselves! Although we weren't able to complete the walk, WE MADE ALMOST 1/3 OF OUR GOAL VIRTUALLY. Think about that. Each and every one of you that participated in this event, whether you were a team captain leading your organization, or a survivor donating to help save more lives, part of the planning committee, or just watched our stories and posts by the hour, each and every one of you made that happen! We are very proud that even with these hardships occurring throughout the world, we are still coming together and fighting for more days without cancer. From our Relay for Life Committee of UMass Dartmouth to each and everyone one of our supporters and donors, thank you!

Making the decision to close our Hope Lodge facilities to cancer patients in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic was extremely difficult. But our beds won’t stay empty. We’re offering more than 1,100 rooms nearby large health care systems to health care providers – to rest between shifts or overnight, free of charge.
