Yesterday we posted a video of a sled coming thru the Village of North Collins with an obnoxiously loud aftermarket exhaust that was obviously illegal by NY law. There were many comments how we should lighten up and stop being boomers or pu***es, along with threats. This wasn't posted because were a bunch of no fun Karens. A snowmobile like this making a racket that can be heard from half a mile away can p**s off the wrong person, usually the property owner of the land, and lead to trail closures. Trails will literally go within 30' of a house around here. This isn't like a public road that can't get shut down. Loud exhausts like this are the number one cause of trail closures. We do not want trails closed and to lose access. This page was created to fight for access, remember that.

Tomorrow, Saturday October, 11th is the day for replacing the runner boards on the 65' bridge in the Franklin Gulf Park. The wood has been purchased and on a trailer, the dump trailer has been secured for disposing of the old wood, air nailers are ready to go and we have the County's and adjoining landowners approval to drive up to the County property gate on the Eden side to get all of our material in and out. We just need people to help do the work. Pry bars and hammers are needed. We will be meeting at the VFW at 9:30 to pick up the Gators, saws, etc. people who live close to the park can come in from the School Street side of the park if you so chose. This project really needs as many folks to come out as possible. We should be able to finish up in a few hours with a big enough turn out.

As summer is winding down and fall is right around the corner, work on the snowmobile trails in North Collins will be starting shortly. The guys that have been taking care of the Eden Trailblazers section could use some fresh faces to lend a hand. Several of the longtime crew have medical issues that are limiting what they can do this season and we need some new volunteers to step up and help. There are dozens of people in this community that snowmobile and only a few that take care of the trails. If you would like to help out, send a message or comment below and we'll get you in touch with the North Collins Trail Crew of the Eden Trail Blazers. No experience is required and any help that can be provided is always appreciated. And it's a great time of year to be outside and enjoying what we have here in North Collins. The Southern Tier Snow Drifters take care of the trails thru Langford and towards East Eden. Get in touch with them if you're in those areas.

There's a new bridge on the village access snowmobile trail to replace the pallet bridge. Please stay on the trail and follow the signs.

The trail to Josif’s Bar & Grill is open. Please stay off sidewalks and keep your speeds reasonable in the Village.

Our new trail to Josif's in North Collins is open. Take the North Collins village access trail, off C4A in the Franklin Gulf county land, and it ends at Josif's. Enjoy the ride.

Hopefully the sled trails will be opening soon but there is a lot of cleanup that is going to need to happen before that. Can you lend a hand?

With the winds we've had and the winds that are coming, there's going to be a lot of this kind of work required before the trails can open. Therefore, a trail work detail is required! If you have Monday off for MLK Day we could use your help in clearing the trails. We are meeting at club HQ @ 9:30 AM. If you can bring chainsaws and ATV/SXSs, or if there's enough snow, sleds that would be fantastic. Mother Nature looks like she's going to bring us cold and snow but we'll need to deal with the cleanup of the winds first.
