Classes are officially open for booking at Knux Garage.

If you are tired of guessing what’s happening under your hood or overpaying for basic maintenance, it’s time to learn how to do it yourself. We’re launching our hands-on workshops right here in Chili, NY—focusing on real skills, proper safety protocols, and zero fluff.

Current workshops now booking:

Roadside Resilience: Master tire changes, safe jump-starting, belt/hose checks, and reading OBD2 codes.

Fluids and Filters: Take control of oil changes, fluid level checks, and filtration systems.

Stopping Power: Learn brake pad and rotor replacements, caliper slide pin service, and hardware inspections.

I'm sure many of you have seen a video or two of someone doing some sort of auto repair and they make it look so easy. Music plays, bolts come right out and parts come off with ease. I'm here to tell you that this is not reality, especially for us living up in Rochester.

Salt = Rusted Parts = Not So Easy.

Real DIY auto repair is work. It takes GRIT, PATIENCE, SWEAT and the occasional busted knuckle. At Knux Garage, our workshops will prepare you for this and more. No fluff and no shortcuts. We give you the right tools, safety protocols, and instruction to help you build the skills and confidence to handle real life scenarios.

On the other side of those rusty bolts & parts is a sense of empowerment and satisfaction that I can't put into words here in this post. You can only feel it in your soul. If you're ready to pull up your sleeves, get a little dirty, and put in the work then Knux Garage is here for you.

A quick post for those of you still following! Knux Garage will be located on King Rd in Chili. Hoping to have classes start within the next 30 days.

Knux isn't just a business - IT'S AN IDEA. An idea that was born in the garage with my father, working on a car, or a tractor, or a dirtbike. I certainly didn't know it then, but those hot summers and late evenings would prove to be more valuable that the knowledge gained. They would forge a sense of self-reliance and confidence that have stayed with me to this day.

My hope is to bring that sense of resilience and empowerment to the Rochester Community. Weekends are not for the sitting on the couch, PlayStation, or the Instagram Feed - they are meant for the driveway or the back yard. They are supposed to be filled with hard work, busted knuckles, high fives, and a cold beverage.

I challenge you to embrace self-reliance. Pick up a wrench, or a screwdriver, or a roll of duct tape and fix that thing that needs fixin'. If you're not sure where to start, we're here to help.

What was your very first car, and what's the first thing that broke on it? I'll go first: I had a 1995 Silver 2-door GMC Jimmy (I still miss that beautiful beast). The first thing I remember was having to replace the brake pads and my dad and I did it together in our garage. I specifically remember having to pump the brakes and having no idea why - just "Ok press - now release - press again - release".
