We lost another Bellwood coach.

On Friday, January 10th, Mike Patterson passed away. He was a big personality who lived to support his children, and others, on the fields. Mike didn't know a stranger and talked to everyone. He will be missed by his family and friends. Please keep Alyssa, Angie, and Chris in your prayers.

His services will be held at Blileys on Hull Street on Saturday 1/18.
Visitation will be from 11am-12pm with the service to follow after.

Please join in celebrating him, I know he would love to have everyone there.

As you are all aware Bellwood hasn't had softball for a while. CYSA is starting fall ball now.

We lost another well loved Bellwood coach this week. Bobby Bishop was a Football and Baseball coach at BAA for over 20 years. His big teddy bear presence was missed when he retired, and he will be missed by his friends and family now. Please join us in lifting his family in prayer. Yesterday we lost a good friend in Bellwood. Charles was a fine man, a great dad and husband, and a strong Community member. There was nothing you took to him concerning the neighborhood kids, or any of the kids in, or who grew up in, the Bellwood School district, that he didn't jump in with both feet. He coached the kids in baseball, basketball, and football. He took over leadership seats to try to keep Bellwood Athletic Association going so every kid would have a safe place to spend their afternoons and weekends. He was their mentor. He was a friend. Please lift his wife and boys in prayer and cover them with love. RIP Charles Dabney. Your memory will forever live on in every one of the children you loved. Great Game Bellwood. We came up short today but I'm proud of these young men. We had a great season thank the boys and all the parents they are the best. I got emotional after the game talking to the boys.
I wanted to say thanks to man who got me into coaching Mr. Bobby Bishop 14 years ago. I have enjoyed every minute. ~Coach Charles Dabney

Bellwood Juniors Basketball will play in the Championship game at Tomahawk Middle School at 2:45 this Saturday. These young men are undefeated and have earned their spot so please come out and support them!

It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Jerry Taylor. He was a coach for many years with Bellwood Athletic Association in the 90s. If anyone has any team pictures, or pictures of Jerry from his coaching days at Bellwood that they would like to share please add them here in replies.
