Today, we honor Juneteenth. Juneteenth commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality.

As we reflect on the significance of June 19, 1865, we celebrate the strength, perseverance, and contributions of generations whose sacrifices helped shape our communities and our nation.

For more than 130 years, Jenkins has stood as a place of opportunity, education, culture, and hope. Founded during a time when opportunities for African Americans were limited, Jenkins has remained committed to empowering children, strengthening families, preserving heritage, and building pathways to a brighter future.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not only a moment in history—it is a continuing responsibility to uplift one another, invest in future generations, and create communities where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Today, we honor the past, celebrate the progress we've made, and recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.

Happy Juneteenth from Jenkins Youth & Family Village.

🎷 The Sound of a Legacy.

African American Music Appreciation Month is a time to honor the artists, educators, and cultural traditions that have shaped the soundtrack of our nation.

For Jenkins, music is more than performance, it is part of our story. From the internationally acclaimed Jenkins Orphanage Band to the next generation of young musicians finding their voice today, music has long been a pathway to opportunity, expression, and excellence.

This month, we celebrate the enduring influence of African American music and the legacy of those whose creativity continues to inspire communities around the world.

🎶 Honoring the music. Preserving the legacy. Inspiring the future.

💙 Every child deserves to be seen, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.

During Children's Awareness Month, we celebrate the resilience, creativity, and potential of young people everywhere. We also recognize the importance of caring adults, strong families, and supportive communities that help children grow into confident, capable leaders.

At Jenkins Youth & Family Village, we remain committed to creating opportunities that empower youth, strengthen families, and build brighter futures for generations to come.

Together, we can ensure every child has the encouragement, resources, and support they need to succeed.

✨ Because every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.

🚀 Curiosity is where innovation begins.

At Jenkins STEAM Academy, young minds are encouraged to ask questions, explore possibilities, and discover how science, technology, engineering, arts, agriculture, and mathematics connect to the world around them.

Through hands-on experiences and meaningful mentorship, students gain the confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills needed to become tomorrow's leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers.

The future isn't waiting, it's being built today.

✨ Discover. Explore. Innovate.

🌱 Rooted in Heritage. Growing for the Future.

The Gullah Geechee Community Garden is more than a place where food grows—it's a space where culture, knowledge, and community flourish together.

Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and shared traditions, we are cultivating opportunities for youth and families to connect with the land, honor heritage, and build a healthier future.

Every seed planted represents growth. Every harvest represents possibility.

Together, we're preserving the past while nurturing the next generation.

🌟📚 FREEDOM SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM BEGINS JUNE 15! 📚🌟

Jenkins Youth & Family Village and E3 Foundation are excited to launch our Freedom School Summer Program on Monday, June 15!

We are proud to welcome 50 scholars into this year’s program, where they will learn, grow, lead, and thrive through an engaging summer experience focused on literacy, leadership, and empowerment.

The overwhelming response from our community has been incredible, with 90 additional scholars currently on the waitlist!

✨ This is just the beginning.
✨ More opportunities.
✨ More growth.
✨ More impact.

Thank you to our families, partners, supporters, and community champions who continue to believe in our mission of educating, empowering, and elevating our youth.
