The Original Charleston Low Country Kwanzaa Planning Committee has been observing the Kwanzaa Celebration locally since 1978. The Committee was duly organized in the State of South Carolina on June 18th, 2003, as a Nonprofit organization with a Public Charity ID. During the seven-day celebration, our organization provides cultural, educational, economic empowerment and vendor opportunities for Kwanzaa activities. The Committee seeks donations and volunteers to support the seven-day community events yearly. We appreciate collaborating with sponsors and partnering organizations to support our community efforts. The organization has realigned itself for 2018-2019, which includes a new Executive Board. All Board members will have a badge that will identify them as an Executive Board and Committee member of The Original Charleston Low Country Kwanzaa Planning Committee. All correspondence will be mailed to organizations on corporate letterhead.
