🎓🇺🇸 Celebrating Excellence at Military Magnet Academy!

The Rotary Club of North Charleston Breakfast was excited to welcome Dr. Robert L. Perrineau, Jr., Principal of Military Magnet Academy, and several outstanding cadets as our guest speakers this morning!

We enjoyed hearing updates about the Academy and the incredible opportunities being provided to students through academics, leadership development, military discipline, and community engagement.

There is so much to celebrate! 🌟
🏆 The Lady Eagles basketball team captured its second consecutive state championship in 2026.
🤖 The Academy's TalonSkies robotics team earned the opportunity to represent South Carolina at a national competition in Washington, D.C.
🎓 The Academy continues to prepare students for success in college, careers, and military service.

As proud supporters of Military Magnet Academy, we are especially proud of these young cadets and the leadership, confidence, and commitment to excellence they demonstrate.

Thank you, Dr. Perrineau and cadets, for spending your morning with us. We look forward to continuing our support of the Academy and celebrating the accomplishments of its students!

💜🐸 SPECIAL GUEST SPOTLIGHT: XYLINA CASSANDRA & BOSS FROG! 🐸💜

There is an especially meaningful reason we are excited to welcome Xylina Cassandra and Boss Frog™ to Rotarians Unplugged Comedy Show 2026!

Xylina is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, author and creator of Boss Frog™, using books, puppetry and education to help children and families better understand brain health, Alzheimer’s and dementia. Her work is centered on bridging generations and helping young people navigate conversations that can otherwise be difficult to understand.

Her book, Auntie, What Is Alzheimer’s?, follows Boss Frog as he learns that his Nana has Alzheimer’s and explores how families can respond with understanding, patience, support and love. 💜📚

That mission has a special connection to Rotary.

Through CART, Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust, Rotarians help support innovative Alzheimer’s research. While CART works toward answers through research, Xylina and Boss Frog help families through education and awareness. Different approaches, but a shared hope for a future where fewer families have to face Alzheimer’s without knowledge, resources and support.

We are honored to give Xylina and Boss Frog a moment on the Rotarians Unplugged stage to share that message with our community. 💙💛💜
