🌱 Fall Garden Workday at Charleston Farms! 🌿

​Come get your hands dirty with us this Sunday, October 11, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

​We’ve got plenty of fresh fall projects lined up:

​Replanting beds across the Food Forest & public plots

​Clearing and weeding the fenceline borders

​General garden bed prep for the cool season

​Whether you have green thumbs or just want to spend some time outside with neighbors, all skill levels and ages are welcome!

​📍 Where: 1633 Sumner Ave

⏰ When: Sunday, Oct 11 | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

🧤 What to bring: Garden gloves, a refillable water bottle, and sturdy shoes (tools provided!).

Join us Sunday October 11th for a garden work day at Charleston Farms Community Garden. The Community Garden is located at 1633 Sumner avenue. We will be doing miscellaneous garden chores around the property and swapping plants. We hope to see you there!

We had a great September Garden Workday today! Thanks everyone for the help installing a cattle panel arch and prepping 3 raised beds for new community garden members!

Greetings Gardeners,

Please join us tomorrow for our upcoming September Community Garden Workday on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Charleston Farms Community Center (1633 Sumner Ave, North Charleston).

We'll be working on:
-Topping off our newly installed Vego garden beds and prepping for new garden members to move in
-Tackling some light weeding around the garden
- Flipping raised 1 beds in the Food Forest

You can bring a water bottle and work gloves. Tools and materials will be provided. I will bring some plants for plant swapping including Lemon Drop Marigolds, Blue Kale, Giant Red Mustard, Rapini, Dill, Basil, and a few disease resistant grafted tomatoes.

We hope to see you there!

Charleston Farms Community Garden Volunteer Workday

We have a garden workday this Sunday at 11 AM at Charleston Farms Community Garden at 1633 Sumner Ave. We'll be filling the last of the new raised beds and performing general maintenance around the garden. All are welcome and we'd love to have you volunteer!

Tomato time!

July's garden workday has been rescheduled to the second week of July. We will start earlier than normal at 9:00 AM to try to beat the heat. We'll be installing a sign and building our last Vego raised bed and filling it. I hope to see you there!
