I am absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news with our community!

Please join me in congratulating Aneesha Ahmed, the talented daughter of Drs. Ahmed Ullah and Lutfun Naher. Aneesha has successfully secured a position at the prestigious Buist Academy, and she will be starting 3rd grade there!

This is such a proud moment for the entire family, and it’s also a beautiful reminder of what our young community members can achieve with hard work, encouragement, and love. Let’s come together to celebrate Aneesha’s accomplishment and wish her the very best as she embarks on this exciting new chapter.

I am also happy to share that Aneesha’s amazing mother, Lutfun Naher, has successfully defended her PhD thesis. Please join me in giving a huge, well-deserved congratulations to Dr. Lutfun Naher!

What an incredible moment for this family, a mother earning her doctorate while her daughter gets into a fantastic school. Truly inspiring!

Please congratulate both Aneesha and Dr. Naher. You’ve made us all proud!

Happy Bijoy Dibosh (Victory Day)!

Thank you to everyone who joined GCBA in celebrating Victory Day yesterday. Despite several constraints related to the county library and its food policy, the program was organized successfully and turned out to be a truly memorable event.

Special appreciation goes to Jahi and Soumi for taking bold initiative to overcome these challenges and preparing the main food items, with generous support from many community members, including Ms. Anta, Ishrat, Bijeta, and Ria. We are deeply grateful to all who contributed food: Jahi and Soumi (Chicken Shawarma), Beauty (Shingara), Nitu, Shormi, and Anima (Aloo Chop), Daizy (Chom Chom), Runa (Pitha), Rosy and Zinea (Nimki), Sumona (Goodie bags), Silma (Semai), and others who worked behind the scenes to make this possible.

We would also like to sincerely thank our dedicated young volunteers, Mr./Dr. Zobaer, Mamun, Kafi, Rabbi, Arafat, Ariq, Samin, Arnab-Nitto, Nitto, and Mortuza, for their hard work in setting up the room and ensuring everything was cleaned afterward. We all missed Pappu Bhai.

As Kamrul bhai mentioned, special thanks are due to Kamrul bhai, Sina bhabi, Pappu bhai, Kakoli bhabi, and Daisy for taking responsibility from start to finish. We especially acknowledge Ms. Sina’s outstanding contribution in making the cultural program a success, despite the restrictions imposed by the library. Utsho was truly the heart of the program, and Soumi was an incredible all-rounder. Manha, Sameen, Anta, Raj, Sumona bhabi, Sourmee boudi, Ishrat, Silma, Arik, Rafat, Arfa, Sanjida, Zaman, Avishek, Shiblee, and Shoikot all delivered wonderful performances. Shoikot’s segment, in particular, was a grand success. Mr./Dr. Sazal did an outstanding job setting up the podium.

Overall, this celebration was a testament to teamwork and community spirit. Heartfelt thanks to all GCBA members who worked tirelessly to make this event successful, and finally, to all participants, without you, this celebration would not have been possible.

Thank you all once again.
