From exploring the city and celebrating its hometown legend, Prince 💜, to honoring Carmen with a special tribute at Serendipity Sand & Play Shop, this trip was filled with meaningful moments and connections.

We’re also celebrating South Carolina’s own Emerging Leader Award recipient from the Upstate and showing off our SCAPT Gold Branch status! 🌿🏆

Grateful for the people, memories, and play therapy community that make this work so special. 💜🎨

🌿🐾 Day Two at the SCAPT Fall Play Therapy Conference with Rose LaPiere! 💚

We explored nature as a co-therapist in grief work—learning how sensory experiences, creative nature-based play, and outdoor environments can support regulation, connection, and felt safety for grieving children. 🌱

We made nature collages, headed to the Clemson Botanical Gardens for a mindful nature walk, collected fallen treasures, and enjoyed plenty of flowers, wildlife, and beautiful weather. 🌸🦋☀️

A beautiful day of learning, connecting, and getting outside! 💚

🦉🐕‍🦺🐀 Day One at the SCAPT Fall Play Therapy Conference!

Loved learning with Rose LaPiere about bringing the nervous system into play therapy through the Owl, Watchdog & Possum brains—and how sensory-based play and connection can help us understand and respond to big, baffling behaviors.

There was lots of learning, playing, and experiential practice…plus a surprise fire alarm that gave us the perfect opportunity to practice regulating our own nervous systems! 😂🔥

And of course, we wrapped up the day with an ice cream social! 🍦💛

So much learning and fun with an amazing group of therapists!

Planning to attend our event on the Clemson campus? Here’s what you need to know about parking!

🎟️ Day Pass:
All attendees will need to purchase parking while on campus. Day passes are $8 and can be purchased online using a guest account:

♿ Accessible Parking:
Accessible parking is available directly in front of Hendrix Hall.

💰 Metered Parking:
Metered parking is available at select locations for $4.25/hour. There is metered parking in the lot directly outside of Hendrix Hall.

🚌 Hendrix Hall Parking:
If you’re unable to find a space in the Hendrix Hall lot, you can also park in Lot C-1 and take the CAT bus to the building. See the map for details.

🚙 Carpooling is encouraged!
