I would like to extend our appreciation to each of the professionals who took time to participate in Career Day at Greg Mathis High School. Mathis Charter High School

Your willingness to share your experiences, career journeys, and words of encouragement made a meaningful impact on the students. Exposure to real-world perspectives is invaluable for young people as they begin to imagine the possibilities for their own futures.

Events like this remind us that mentorship and access matter. When students are able to engage directly with individuals who have navigated different professional paths, it expands their vision of what is possible and reinforces the importance of preparation, perseverance, and purpose.

At Mckmg, we believe that breaking cycles of poverty and violence begins with consistent mentorship, opportunity, and community engagement. Your participation reflects a shared commitment to investing in the next generation.

Thank you again for your time, your insight, and your willingness to pour into our youth. We look forward to continuing this important work together.

South Carolina Community Violence Workshop 2026 was a great experience and learning lesson. It gives us hope and optimism for our future. As we work on becoming better community service providers.
What a great start to a new year. I encourage all to stay tuned and engage in the process.
We will be better because we know better.
Our community depends on it.
Our youth future is in our hands.
That future begins today.

MCKMG New Year’s Message

As we enter a new year, My Community’s Keeper Mentor Group stands on one truth:
We are responsible for one another.

This past year reminded us that transformation is possible when accountability meets compassion, and when mentorship is rooted in lived experience—not judgment. At MCKMG, we believe every young person deserves guidance, structure, and someone willing to say, “I won’t give up on you.”

This year, we recommit to the work.
• To show up consistently
• To mentor with purpose
• To correct with care
• To lead by example

We understand that our youth are watching—not just what we say, but how we live. In 2026, we choose discipline over excuses, healing over harm, and unity over division.

To our mentors: your presence matters.
To our youth: your future is not limited by your past.
To our community: the work continues, and we move forward together.

At MCKMG, we don’t just mentor—we restore, redirect, and rebuild.

Let this be the year we strengthen our commitment to keeping our community accountable, connected, and empowered.

Because when one rises, we all rise.
