Charleston Toys for Tots The mission of the U. S. In 1947, a group of Marines recognized a need in this country and found a way to fill it- Toys for Tots. Just think of that.

Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community As history has proven time and time again, Marines do not do anything halfway. Over the years, Marines have distributed over 627,000,000 toys and brought the joy of Christmas and a message of hope to more than 281,000,000 children. Over two hundred thirty million Christmas dreams have been answered. Today, Marines Corps Reserve Units collect and distribute an average of eighteen million toys to an average of 7.0 million children each year at Christmas. This is an incredible accomplishment. We know from the smiles on children's faces and from the grateful appreciation of their parents, that the simple gift of a shiny, new toy- something that many take for granted- can make a tremendous difference in the life of a child. Hope is the key, and hope is what the Marine Corps Reserve is giving to needy children of America through the Toys for Tots program.

🎄🎁 CHARLESTON TOYS FOR TOTS 2026 – REGISTRATION OFFICIALLY BEGINS TOMORROW! 🎁🎄

The Charleston Toys for Tots Campaign is excited to announce that registration for Christmas assistance officially begins TOMORROW, October 15th!

Our mission is to bring the joy of Christmas and a message of hope to children and families throughout the Lowcountry. ❤️

October 15 – November 14, 2026

Monday – Saturday
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Closed Sundays

📋 WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

✅ Parent or Guardian: A valid photo ID.

✅ For Each Child: Documentation verifying the child's identity and date of birth. Accepted documents include:

• Birth certificate
• Medicaid card
• Passport

⚠️ Social Security cards and Social Security numbers will NOT be accepted as documentation.

📢 IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

• Registration is IN PERSON ONLY. We are not accepting online applications.

• Children do NOT need to be present during registration.

• Please bring all required documentation for each child you wish to register.

• Registration closes November 14th.

🎁 TOY COLLECTION BOXES ARE GOING OUT! 🎁

Our official Toys for Tots collection boxes will be distributed to participating businesses and organizations throughout the Lowcountry this week and next week!

We are proud to have numerous businesses, schools, churches, and community organizations joining us in making this Christmas special for local children.

📍 LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO DONATE?

Keep an eye on our page! We will soon be highlighting five participating toy drop-off locations in each local area to make it easier for everyone to find a convenient donation site.

These highlighted locations will represent just a small portion of the many collection sites throughout Charleston, North Charleston, Goose Creek, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, and surrounding communities.

Today marks the official kickoff of the 2026 Charleston Toys for Tots Campaign!

🎁 TOY DONATIONS
New, unwrapped toys can be brought directly to our warehouse during operating hours.
Our final day to accept toy donations is December 22nd, but earlier donations are greatly appreciated so our Marines and volunteers have time to sort and prepare toys for distribution.

📝 FAMILY REGISTRATION

Families should bring a valid form of identification for the parent or guardian and one form of identification/documentation for each child, such as a birth certificate, passport, Medicaid card, or other acceptable documentation. **NO SOCIAL SECURITY CARD**

🎄🎁 CHARLESTON TOYS FOR TOTS 2026 IS ALMOST HERE! 🎁🎄

We’re gearing up for another incredible Toys for Tots season across the Charleston area!

📅 CAMPAIGN KICKOFF: October 1st

📝 FAMILY REGISTRATION:
October 15th – November 14th

We are planning for in-person registration. Locations, times, and required documents will be announced soon. Please follow our page for updates!

🧸 TOY COLLECTION & DROP BOXES

We’re looking for local businesses, churches, and organizations to serve as official Toys for Tots drop box locations. Our goal is 5–15 convenient locations in each area we serve.

🎉 Hosting a special event or toy drive? You can request boxes through the Toys for Tots website. Event-specific boxes and all collected toys must be returned by the requesting organization.

📦 BAGGING & PREPARATION:
Begins Monday, November 30th.

Our Marines and volunteers will begin preparing family orders for distribution. Last year we served more than 2,200 families, so we'll need plenty of helping hands!

🎅 TOY DISTRIBUTION:
Begins Thursday, December 3rd and will continue through our scheduled distribution days.

Families will receive information regarding when and where to pick up their toys. Please wait until you receive your pickup information before arriving for distribution.

Our final numbers are in, and they tell an incredible story of generosity, service, and community spirit.

✨ 69,469 children reached through Toys for Tots, food banks, and local churches

✨ 6,608 children served directly through Toys for Tots

✨ 74,847 toys collected

Because of you, thousands of children woke up this morning with toys under the tree, smiles on their faces, and the joy and hope that make Christmas special. Every toy donated, every hour volunteered, and every partnership formed helped make this possible.

Here’s a snapshot of our upcoming distribution forecast:

🚂 Saturday: 1,700–1,999 trains will be ready
🚂 Sunday: 2,000–2,217 trains will be ready

📅 Our final day for distribution will be Monday, December 22nd.

🎁 So far, we have received over 46,400 toys and are on track to serve more than 7,000 children across the Lowcountry.

• Please don’t forget to bring your train ticket and a valid ID when arriving for pickup.
