When this patient was referred to North Charleston Dental Outreach through our partnership with the Greer Transitions Clinic by Roper St. Francis Healthcare, she shared that past dental experiences had left her feeling anxious. When she saw her new smile for the first time, she immediately began to cry.

What changed wasn't just her smile. Along the way, Dr. Watson and our team earned her trust, helping her feel more comfortable and ensuring she felt truly cared for.

Partnerships mean so much to NCDO and play a vital role in helping us better serve the patients who come to us in need of care.

Through the generosity of our community partners, Roper St. Francis Healthcare and AMN Healthcare, NCDO received a medical interpretation machine that continues to strengthen communication and improve the care we provide to our patients every day. The machine provides interpretation services in more than 50 languages.

This gift means more than technology. It means connection. It helps us truly listen to and understand every patient who walks through our doors, breaking down language barriers so that care and compassion are never lost in translation. 💙🦷

Recently, our Dental Director, Dr. Watson, Executive Director, Ashton Hernandez, and Front Desk Coordinator, Stacey, had the opportunity to attend an outreach event at the South Carolina Aquarium alongside families participating in a community outreach program with Charleston Promise Neighborhood.

During the event, our team shared toothbrushes, toothpaste, and information about NCDO while encouraging healthy oral care habits and connecting with the community.

Thank you to Charleston Promise Neighborhood and the South Carolina Aquarium for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful day and for their continued commitment to supporting local families. 💙🦷
