https://events.golfstatus.com/event/2026-north-charleston-dental-outreach/ Toothache emergencies will continue to be seen on a walk-in basis Thursdays. No appointment is needed, but please arrive by 11 a.m. A minimum contribution of $25 (or more!) is kindly requested. Services offered by the clinic would typically cost hundreds of dollars in a private dental office.

Recently, our Dental Director, Dr. Watson, Executive Director, Ashton Hernandez, and Front Desk Coordinator, Stacey, had the opportunity to attend an outreach event at the South Carolina Aquarium alongside families participating in a community outreach program with Charleston Promise Neighborhood.

During the event, our team shared toothbrushes, toothpaste, and information about NCDO while encouraging healthy oral care habits and connecting with the community.

Thank you to Charleston Promise Neighborhood and the South Carolina Aquarium for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful day and for their continued commitment to supporting local families. 💙🦷

We are incredibly grateful for the leadership, heart for service, and dedication that Mr. Jim McBride brings to North Charleston Dental Outreach as one of our board members.

When asked what inspired him to get involved with NCDO, Jim shared:

“What appealed to me is the practical impact of how low income individuals are significantly helped with low or no cost dental care. This is an often overlooked type of care that makes a very significant positive impact on people's lives, and is done so in order to show the love of Jesus through His people in a practical way.

The NCDO website says that NCDO's mission is: ‘Ministering with dental care to those in need by stewarding God’s gifts of time, talent and treasure.’ I think NCDO's vision centers on providing quality dental services to low income, uninsured, and underinsured residents of North Charleston while respecting the dignity and worth of every individual.”

Mr. McBride’s lifelong commitment to serving others continues to make a meaningful impact on our mission, our team, and the patients we serve every day.

We are so excited to share that North Charleston Dental Outreach has been awarded a Little Free Library! 📚 Yesterday morning, our team installed it and filled it with books generously donated by Roper Greer Transitions Clinic.

Whether someone is visiting our clinic, waiting for an appointment, or simply passing by, we hope this little library will inspire a love of reading and provide a resource for all to enjoy.

Thank you to Little Free Library and Roper St. Francis Healthcare for helping us create another way to serve and connect with our community!

Meet our recent patient, Jose. He came to NCDO in pain after receiving improper dental treatment elsewhere. Thanks to the compassion and dedication of Dr. Watson and our team, we were able to help restore his smile and provide him relief.

Sadly, situations like Jose’s happen far too often. Recent reports show that more than 68.5 million adults nationwide do not have dental insurance, and over 43% of households in South Carolina struggle to make ends meet each month, making access to dental care difficult for so many individuals and families.

Because of our generous supporters, stories like Jose’s are possible. 💙🦷

⛳ Tee Off for Teeth Update!

While we were very excited for this year’s Tee Off for Teeth Golf Tournament, we have made the decision to postpone the event until next year as we work toward creating an even greater impact for our community.

We are incredibly thankful for the excitement and support that so many of you have shown for the event and NCDO.

Although the tournament has been postponed, our work continues every single day as we provide essential dental care to individuals and families throughout our community.
