Good morning!!
If you purchased trees they have arrived. You can pick them up at any time from now to Friday. They all have to be picked up by end of day Friday! Also, we will have your money for the Pear trees if you purchased any of those.

Good Afternoon!
Next Friday, Feb 10th, is the tree giveaway! If you purchased trees I will have them bundled and ready for you to pick up! Also, if you bought Pear trees, we will be returning you your money. The nursery informed me they were completely out and they called surrounding nurseries and they were out as well. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Just a reminder the trees that are the giveaway are: Persimmon, Pecan, White Oak, and Tulip Poplar.

We will start the tree giveaway at 8 A.M.
We will have all of the trees out front. They must be picked up by 4:00 on Friday.

We had so much presenting “It’s a Dirty job” to the students at JZ George in Carrollton. The students built an earthworm farm by putting layers of sand and soil in a 2L bottle.

MACD Endowment Fund 2022 Scholarship
The Mississippi Association of Conservation District is offering a scholarship to be used at a two- year junior college or a four-year college in Mississippi.

Mississippi sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students currently enrolled in college may apply.

A student can defer the scholarship to be used at a later date. The scholarship funds must be claimed within 8 years of the applicant's high school graduation date.

The Scholarship is open to students pursuing a Natural Resources field of study which includes but is not limited to: Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering Technology and Business, Agriculture Information Science and Education, Agricultural Pest Management, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Animal and Dairy Sciences, Agricultural Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biological Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Forestry, Human Sciences, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Contracting and Management, and Poultry Science.

If you know a high school student who plans to major in an agriculture field tell them about this opportunity. They can pick up the packet that has to be filled out from the office here in Carrollton, Ms.

The Scholarship will be paid directly to the college. The Scholarship is $10,000!
